Gary peeks over his shoulder. “The Adventures of Math Man?” His eyes scan the book. “Oh, wow. By Cody Moore. That’s cool, Cody.”
I nod, appreciating Gary’s words but really waiting for Hayden’s reaction. He doesn’t say anything as he opens the first page, smiles, then goes to the second and third. His mom moves over beside him so she can look as well, the wrestling in my gut getting even worse.
“Might not want to read the whole thing right here, if you know what I mean,” I tease. Math Man meets a hot ginger, but I don’t tell them that part.
Still, it’s enough to get his mom’s attention. She rolls her eyes playfully but then turns serious. “What an incredibly thoughtful, beautiful gift, Cody.” She reaches over and squeezes my hand and damned if I don’t feel like I could blush.
“It’s nothing. I was basically just playing around.” I was always doodling him anyway, so I figured I might as well do something meaningful with it.
Finally, after what feels like a fucking eternity, Hayden looks up from the book, his eyes sort of glassy. “I don’t know what to say.”
“Tell me I’m awesome. I always like hearing that,” I joke.
“Jesus, you’re fucking awesome, Cody. Can I get Adventures of Bottom Boy?” Derek interrupts.
Gary nudges him. “We’ve talked about this. There is a time and place for everything, and this isn’t the time.”
“It’s always a good time with Bottom Boy,” he adds and when Gary gives him the evil eye, holds up his hands, “All right! I’ll be good. Sorry, Daddy.”
“This is…this is beautiful, Cody,” Hayden says, ignoring Gary and Derek. “I can’t believe you wrote and illustrated a whole comic book for me.” His voice cracks, but I hear the awe in it like he honestly can’t believe someone would do that for him. “I can’t wait to read it.” He reaches out, threads his fingers through the back of my hair and tugs before his mouth comes down on mine. He presses three kisses to my lips then presses our foreheads together. “Thank you.”
“You can thank me properly later,” I tease.
Things start wrapping up after that. Doc says he’ll walk Julie to her car for us. She tells Hayden good-bye as Doc hugs me. “You and I are talking soon, kid. I think you might be a little more than sweet on him.”
I brush him off. I’d know if I was in love with Hayden. “See ya at the shop, old man.”
Doc and Julie are the last ones to leave. After Hayden closes the door behind them, he walks right over to me, where I’m leaning against the kitchen counter. “No one’s ever treated me the way you do.”
“Eh.” I shrug it off. “You’re all right.”
“You think I’m more than all right. You have a crush on me, remember?” He gives me another quick kiss. “And I really have a big crush on you too.”
“Why don’t you get on your knees and show me how much you like me?” I tell him. Hayden smiles, kneels and does exactly that, not stopping until he’s milked every last drop.
When he pushes to his feet again, he says, “Seriously…thank you, Cody.”
“Don’t thank me yet, you haven’t read it. In the end, Math Man saves the world. You better get started on that shit before it’s too late.”
He nods and I know he gets what I’m saying. He’s got dreams. It’s time to start chasing them.

Hayden
“Jesus fucking Christ,” I say as I shoot my load.
Cody laps it up, his tongue swirling around the head of my cock like he’s trying to make sure he’s gotten every last drop.
When he’s finished, he crawls up from under the covers and rises onto his knees, jerking his cock off.
“God, you taste so fucking good,” he says. “I’m gonna come.”
His eyes roll to the back of his head, and as he comes, I sit up and lean down to his cock, opening my mouth to take his load.
He drips into it before I swallow.
As he curses, I grab his wrist. He releases his dick as I move his hand out of the way and take his cock to get the rest of his spooge.
When I let his cock fall from my mouth, he gazes down at me with a smile across his face.
“Mmmm,” he says.
While recovering from our climaxes, he lounges on top of me, crushing me beneath his weight as he kisses me.
“I have a feeling it’s going to be a real good day,” he says as he pulls back and gazes down at me.
“Well, it’s already been one hell of a new year.” It’s been a week since we went out with our crew to celebrate the New Year, but I can’t think of anyone I’d rather be starting the year with.
“New place, new boyfriend, new—”
