The heat of his body covers me like a blanket when he climbs on the bed and stretches out on top of me.

His mouth finds mine, and I pull my hand free the second he gives me the chance.

“That is—”

“Perfection,” he whispers, reading my mind.

I can’t help the moan that escapes when he shifts his hips back, lining himself up at my entrance.

He’s slow to move, pushing forward only a few inches, stopping when my mouth hangs open.

“I should’ve prepped you better,” he says. “You okay?”

I swallow as I nod, lifting both legs up and pressing my calves into the meat of his ass.

His breathing hitches when he moves forward again.

“God. Damn,” he says, his blasphemy an echo of my own sentiments. “Fuck.”

I claw at him, the drag of his hips backward bringing with it an entirely different type of sensation than the drive forward.

“I’m in so much trouble,” he confesses a second before his mouth meets mine.

It’s more of a way for us to connect than an actual kiss. When his arms circle under my shoulders, his hands clamping me in place, I know he’s going to take me somewhere I’ve never ever been.

Instead of burying his face in my shoulder like I’m used to, he pulls back a few inches, his eyes locking on mine.

He looks a little confused, as if he’s seeing me for the very first time, but his gaze makes it incapable to look away from him.

“I need you to come,” he tells me, and it forces me to shake my head. “You will.”

His voice is a challenge… his not mine. I feel more wanted in this moment than I ever have. My pleasure is important to him. If I’m reading him right, his own is secondary, and I’ve never experienced that before.

“I’m—” I hiss when he does some sort of magical swooping move.

“Fuck, yeah you are,” he snaps, maintaining the exact same tempo as before.

It takes me over the edge into a blinding euphoria so powerful that I don’t realize he’s come until I float back into existence to find him still and panting above me.

“Damn it,” he mutters, but there’s a hint of praise in it as he rolls to the side.

I don’t even bother to close my legs because after that experience, there isn’t a hint of embarrassment left in my body.

I almost open my mouth to tell him no one’s ever made me feel like that before, but the idea of him mentioning someone else to me in a moment like this would hurt my feelings, so I remain silent.

When I get a little more control of my body, I turn my head on the pillow to find him grinning at me.

“What now?”

His smile grows a second before he turns over, grabs the two condoms that are left from the bedside table, and drops them on my chest.

Chapter 21

Chase

That voice in my head, the one that tells me I’m making a mistake with every choice I make is silent this morning. The sun isn’t very far into the sky yet, leaving the hotel room still cast in shadows.

I trail my fingers up Madison’s back, feeling no urge to get out of this bed. I know I can’t stay here forever. I have so many responsibilities, but what a damn thrill to just escape the world for a little while, where nothing mattered but her and me.

She whimpers, her body rolling against mine. “You’re so hot.”

“You’re pretty smoking yourself.”

She huffs, her laughter warming my chest as her fingers sweep through the hairs on my pecs.

“I meant like furnace hot. I think we melted together last night.”

“Definitely a lot of friction.”

She scoffs, lifting her hand a few inches to smack me with it. I grab it, lifting it to my mouth and pressing my lips to her palm.

We used all three condoms last night. I realize when I roll my head on the pillow and look at the clock on the bedside table, we actually haven’t been asleep but for five hours.

As much as I’d like to stay here and exist in this little cocoon, I know I can’t.

“We need to get up,” I say but neither of us seem to be in a hurry to move.

I continue tracing lines on her back, and she all but purrs into my chest. It doesn’t help that we’re both still completely naked from falling into the bed exhausted and drained from what we did to each other’s body.

“Back to reality,” Madison says a few minutes later, pulling herself off my chest.

There’s a reluctance in her eyes when she looks down at me. I don’t ask permission when I trace the outer curve of her left breast. The woman has the most gorgeous body I’ve ever seen. She’s got curves in all the right places, rather than hip bones and pointy edges like women I’ve spent time with before.
