He pulls me inside the room, pressing my back to the door the second it closes.

“Wow,” I mutter when he presses the full length of his body against mine.

It’s as if nothing separates us, as if the conversation and the drive here never happened. Everything I felt in the parking lot once again comes alive inside of me.

I moan with need when he rolls his body against mine, his erection pressing into my belly.

“Is this part of the benefits package?”

He huffs a laugh, the warmth of his breath on my neck as he rolls his hips once again.

“God, I should’ve asked for this sooner.”

He chuckles, his mouth resting against the tender skin on my neck this time.

“Did you want to keep talking or should we—”

I silence him with a kiss, my palms slipping past the hem of his shirt to roll over his heated skin.

A rumble escapes his throat, and I swallow the sound down, feeling like the sexiest woman alive for eliciting such a reaction from him.

My heart pounds out of control when he takes a step back, his eyes running the length of my body. It makes me feel like I’m under a microscope the way I always have when a man looks at me.

“You’re fucking delicious,” he says, his hand running down my side until his fingers tangle in the fabric of my dress where it teases my legs. “I need you naked.”

Suddenly a little shy, I lift my finger to my mouth, nibbling on the corner of my cuticle.

I may have hooked up with Anthony Miller after senior prom, but I’ve never been the type of woman to just go out and find someone to hook up with. Most of my experiences have happened with my ex, Sam, and he wasn’t ever too interested in getting naked with me. Looking back, it seemed more obligatory rather than filled with need and passion.

The look in Chase’s eyes when he lifts my dress, pulling it over my head in one motion, is like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

I don’t have time to worry if the shadows in the room are playing tricks on the slight roundness of my lower belly. I’m unconcerned if my thighs are sticking out a little too much for his liking.

My breaths come out faster than I can seem to pull them into my lungs.

He looks absolutely enamored. He isn’t trying to hide his reaction. He doesn’t look disgusted or regretful to have taken it this far.

He looks hungry, starved, in need of something he feels like only I can deliver.

It’s mesmerizing the look on his face. It makes me desperate to see myself the way he’s seeing me now.

“Fuck, Madison,” he says as he lifts both palms to my breasts.

They’ve always been smaller than I would’ve liked, but he doesn’t seem turned off by them at all.

I nearly buckle, my legs threatening to give out, when he doesn’t waste a second dropping his mouth to the tip of one breast. The heat of his mouth engulfs it, my hands having a mind of their own as I cling to him.

“Shit, I’m getting ahead of myself,” he says, after my nipple pops free of his mouth. “Let me look at you.”

Now I’m struck with that wave of embarrassment, especially when his eyes drop below my waist.

My panties are nothing to get excited about. They’re a light beige satin, but his eyes are locked right on the apex of my thighs.

I know what he sees. It’s exactly what he saw in the parking lot when he looked down.

My skin heats with humiliation, that confidence I started feeling earlier quickly dissipating. I struggle not to attempt to cover myself, but if there was ever a time to fake it until I make it, then this would be it.

“That is the sexiest thing I think I’ve ever seen,” he whispers, his finger trailing up my inner thigh until it skates right over the center of me. “These panties don’t hide a thing from me.”

I whimper, both with need and shame.

“I can’t help it,” I say, locking my eyes on something across the room.

“Help it?” Chase asks, his hand gripping his erection over his jeans. “I bet you’ve got the sweetest pussy.”

Something much stronger than shame and embarrassment washes over me, and I feel his words right at the center of me. It does nothing to help the situation we’re talking about. If anything, I know without looking down that it’s making things worse.

“This would be better if you got naked, too,” I whisper, feeling slightly empowered by the way he smiles as his eyes drink me up.

From what happened in the SUV outside of the bar, I figured we’d come together like a summer thunderstorm, quick, violent, and over as quickly as it began. But when he takes a step back, pulling his t-shirt over his head, keeping his eyes locked on me, I realize my mistake.
