“Shit, my son’s more of a doofus than I thought. What man wouldn’t want to touch you?”
Patty shrugs.
“To be honest, I suspect it has something to do with that VR headset. I think Brian’s got a secret stash of VR porn, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting it from some babe in virtual reality. I mean, that stuff is really realistic when it comes down to it, and why not hook up with a fake Pamela Anderson who does every dirty, nasty thing you want? It’s easier than relationships in real life, that’s for sure.”
Holy shit, Patty has a point and I make a note to talk with Brian about his gaming addiction. I had no idea things were so out of control that my son’s had his libido sucked away. Hell, when I was his age I was squirting all over laddie mags because of my raging hormones, all the while praying to experience some real pussy. It seems Brian’s gone the opposite direction. Maybe that little fuck needs a trip to the doctor. A psychiatrist, to be exact.
But I’m glad Patty isn’t putting up with my son’s bullshit anymore because she really does deserve better than him. “Thank God,” I growl, stepping closer to rest my hands on her upper arms, trying to resist the heat between us. “I’ve been wondering what you’ve been thinking. How you feel about the moment we shared?”
The corner of her pretty lips turns up as she smirks at me. “Is that all it was, Mr. Hickman?” she asks playfully. “Just a moment?”
I swallow thickly, mentally cursing as I feel my dick twitching in my pants. I’ve always liked a woman with a little sass in her, and Patty certainly possesses that pizzazz I adore. “I guess it was more than a moment,” I chuckle.
“Good,” she giggles, standing on her tippy toes so that our faces are just inches apart. “Because I was walking funny after our session on the couch. And if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t mind if you took a look at my sore spots. And maybe kissed it a little to make it better?”
Holy fuck! I growl, unable to hold back any longer. My hands grab at her waist and my lips seize her plush pout, but only for a second before she pulls away.
“Why didn’t you call me?” Patty asks, suddenly serious.
“Hmm? What was that, sweetheart?” My thoughts are all one big tangled web right now, and I can barely hear her words. I’m focused on one thing and one thing only, so her question hardly registers through the lust-induced fog of my mind.
“Why didn’t you call me?” she repeats. “It’s been a whole week. You know it’s not nice to leave a woman hanging.”
“Oh,” I swallow, trying to think of something to say. I could tell her that I just didn’t have her number, but that would be taking the easy way out, not to mention being totally untrue. I decide to man up and just admit the truth. “Sweetheart, I didn’t call because our relationship … well, it’s taboo, as you know.”
She scrunches her brows at me.
“What’s so taboo about it?” she questions sharply, eyebrows furrowing as her eyes narrow at me.
I shake my head while letting out a sigh.
“Patty, baby, you were just dating my son a week ago and now you and I have something going on. You have to admit that’s a bit taboo.” She looks like she wants to argue but I cut her off. “It doesn’t matter that you broke up with him fair and square before we went at it. Just the fact that I’m Brian’s dad makes this whole thing forbidden.”
Her lips form a large pout as she realizes that I’m right.
“Besides, there’s an enormous age gap between us, sweetheart,” I add. “I’m in my forties and you’re just an innocent teen girl. That too also makes this whole thing illicit.”
But Patty’s pout deepens as she crosses her arms over her chest.
“I’m not a baby,” she glares “I’m a college student, so I think it’s safe to say that I’m old enough to be with whomever I want. And you don’t need to worry about my age because I’m not a child. In fact, I’m turning twenty in just a few months, so it isn’t even that big of a deal.”
I swallow thickly, raising my brows. “Twenty?”
“Yes, twenty. Two zero.”
That makes me sigh again.
“Sweetheart, I know you think twenty is old, but I’m already forty-five. That’s more than two decades older than you. You might have more in common with someone who’s experiencing the same things that you are right now. You know, going through college, finding what interests you in life, meeting boys, dating, things like that.”
But Patty’s jaw is set.
“No, I don’t want that, Gary. Guys my age are selfish and immature at best, and they’re disgusting too. They have smelly feet not to mention poor hygiene habits. A couple guys I dated, I literally cleaned their bathrooms for them and did their laundry too. I don’t want to be their mom, and that’s why I want you, Gary.”
