Nate wasn’t sure if he heard the shower or not. The sounds were so subtle, and he didn’t keep an eye on the time, but suddenly the door opened, and there Molly stood, in a skirt that went down to her ankles, as well as a white vest top. She’d left her long hair hanging down, and the brown locks looked so thick and luscious. Molly no longer looked like she had fallen out of bed.

“I thought I told you to wait downstairs?” Molly asked.

He leaned back. “No, you just asked me to give you a minute, and I did. You ran away after I gave you a pretty good orgasm, and you got dressed?”

She wasn’t wearing any makeup so he saw the blush staining her cheeks, and he loved it. Molly was so refreshing to be around. He smiled over at her as she glanced down.

“I have no idea what I’m doing.” She pressed her lips together, folded her arms beneath her chest, and then dropped them. “I don’t know what is going on, or how to do this. I … I don’t know what to do.”

Nate saw how confused she looked and he got to his feet and closed the distance between them. Molly didn’t pull away so he reached for her hands, holding onto them. “Calm down.”

“Why do you say that? All that makes me want to do is freak out, and now I hate that I’m talking this way.”

Nate smiled. He had never seen Molly lose control or look positively panicked, and he found it cute. Everything had gone the opposite way when it came to being with her. Nothing was working as he hoped it would. The truth was, when it came to Molly, he clearly couldn’t think straight.

“How about you and I date, spend time together, and then we see where this all goes, but you know I want you.” He pulled her close, pressing his lips against her neck. “I want to be with you every chance I get. I want to be the man you’re thinking about as you write your book heroes.”

He pulled away and stared into her eyes.

“What does this mean?” she asked.

“I think it means you and I are dating, and if anyone asks, that is exactly what we’re doing.” He pressed a kiss to her lips. He wanted to do a lot more, but he knew she was skittish and he wasn’t about to frighten her off. “Can I use your bathroom?”

“Yes. I’ll, uh, go and make us a proper breakfast.”

He watched her leave and then entered the bathroom. His cock was still rock-hard, but there would not be a chance to take care of it.

Being around Molly, he lost his mind, but it was all for a good reason. He stared at his reflection as he gripped the edge of the sink. He could do this.

“Get a grip,” he said.

Even though he didn’t want to take his time, he would do that for Molly. It was what she needed, and he knew being with her was what he needed.

Chapter Six

Three Days Later

Molly wrinkled her nose at her current story, hit “Save,” and then slammed down the lid of her laptop. She couldn’t write, or at least she couldn’t bring herself to form any words. In less than a week, so much had already changed in her life. The school had already called and thanked her for the impressive donation.

It had been such a large amount because Nate had pretty much paid for himself, but none of the board had complained about that. She didn’t know if she should have accepted the check or not. The board had.

Oh, and she had discovered that the guy she had a massive crush on also wanted her, and rather than be sexy and normal about it, she had acted like a child. She was mortified just thinking about how she’d reacted on Saturday night and Sunday.

He’d given her an orgasm, and she was no stranger to having a release, but it was always at her own hand. Nate had done it better. There was no way she could deny it.

Nate seemed to do a whole lot of things better, and, well, she … didn’t.

He spent the whole day with her Sunday, until he’d gotten a call. A small minivan had broken down. The family traveling needed a tow, a place to stay, and a mechanic to help fix their car. Nate had the tow truck and was also the mechanic.

He’d kissed her good night and promised to call. She stayed up, but she hadn’t expected him to keep his word, but she should have known Nate was proving to be a different kind of guy. Even though he had the “bad boy” and rebel reputation, he was someone to be relied upon.
