I don’t know why I’m compelled to defend them, but I can’t help it. “They haven’t done anything I didn’t want them to do.”
“That’s because they’re not monsters.” Another shrug. “But it doesn’t change the fact that all the strings you three have aren’t going to become untangled by fucking alone.” She spins the lock until it clicks and opens the locker. “They want you to wear this. Keep your heels and the collar.”
I stare at the scrap of fabric dangling from the hanger. “Okay.”
Aurora hands it to me. “You can store your dress here and someone will retrieve it when you’re finished.” She turns around. “Go ahead and change and then I’ll show you where they want you.”
On display.
I don’t know what that entails when it comes to their plans tonight. Not knowing has both anticipation and trepidation singing through my body. No matter what happens, they’ll take care of me.
The dress turns out to be even more indecent than the one I wore into the club. It also hugs me like a second skin, barely covering my ass and stretching up to tie around my neck. The halter top has my breasts in danger of spilling out with each inhale. It’s a black that looks almost like an oil spill against my skin. “Okay.”
Aurora turns around and whistles. “Damn, girl, you look good.” She smiles, and there is a whole lot of heat in her dark eyes. “If you three ever decide you want to play wider, I’m totally interested.”
My skin goes hot and I know even without a mirror that I’m blushing. “I—Um, maybe.” She’s beautiful in the way priceless paintings are beautiful. I lick my lips. “I’d like that.”
Aurora takes a step toward me and then gives herself a little shake. “You’re going to get me into trouble.” She grins as if delighted by the prospect. “I’m becoming quite the little brat. Oh! I almost forgot.” She leans back into the locker, giving me a glimpse of the lower curve of her ass, and just like that, I can fantasize exactly how it would play out if we decided to be wicked.
How she’d go to her knees before me and shove up my skirt. How my back would hit the lockers with a rattle at the first swipe of her tongue. How I’d dig my fingers into her hair and drag her up my body and—
Aurora turns to hand me a single white card. “This is for you.”
I take it with a shaking hand. I never would have considered myself a sex addict, but I’m standing here fantasizing about a woman I don’t even know while the two men I love are waiting for me. What is wrong with me? Beast might have made that comment about monogamy in passing, but surely juggling two men is enough for me? I shouldn’t want to be passed around like a party favor and licked and stroked and fucked until I’m limp with spent pleasure.
It takes me two tries to focus on the bold scrawl inside the card. And another two tries to comprehend.
Fuck the first person who offers to buy you a drink.
I blink and lift my gaze to Aurora. “He’s not serious.”
Aurora leans closer, her breasts pressing against my arm, and reads the card. She whistles. “I feel like I just got an unfair advantage in this game.”
“He’s not serious,” I repeat.
“Honey, you know better. Beast probably came out of the womb serious. He’s sure as hell not joking around about a scene.” She gives me a concerned look. “Unless you don’t want to play? You don’t have to. Consent is really important.”
I start to say that I don’t want to play, but I can’t force the lie past my lips. The truth is that I do want to play. I really, really do. “Can you show me to the room?”
Her dark eyes flash with glee. “I like you, Isabelle. I was prepared to hate you just out of solidarity, but I should have known that wouldn’t stick.”
I find myself grinning back at her. “To be honest, I’m pretty sure you’ve hooked up with both of them, so I was prepared to hate you on principle, too.”
“Hating past flings out of principle is so overrated.” She loops her arm through mine and tugs me toward the door. “It’s a good thing we’re enlightened ladies, huh?”
“I suppose it is.”
She guides me around a corner and then another, to a door that looks identical to the one we just left. Aurora pauses with her hand on the doorknob. “This may be a little too honest, but …”
My blush is back. “Tell me.”
“I’m not going to cheat at the game, but I hope if I’m very, very good, I’ll have you coming all over my face later tonight.” She gives me a fleeting grin and then pushes the door open.
