Chapter 7
Milo
I had to be patient and teach him how to be Daddy.
I could do it.
I was smart about angry people and little stuff.
“No, Daddy. I can sit on your lap or on the floor.” I didn’t need my own big chair. That was silly but I was a good boy and didn’t tell him that. “You’re Daddy.”
He cocked his head but nodded after a few seconds. “That makes very good sense and thank you for letting me know what you wanted.”
“You’re welcome.” I had such good manners. Dally was going to be proud of me. “I’m going to snuggle your legs if I sit on the floor because that’s just what I do.”
Daddy blinked and blinked. “If you’re comfortable sitting on my lap, then I’d like that, but snuggling with my legs is good too. I just don’t want to do anything to make you nervous or anything that’s…too grown-up for you.”
Oh.
“Daddies get hard penises. That’s okay. Even Dally knows it’s okay.” I shrugged. “That’s just what they do.”
Penises were kind of sneaky and that was why we had to keep our clothes on until they could come out to play.
“That is just what they do.” Standing straighter, Daddy kissed my forehead. “Okay, I’m going to get you some juice and then we’re going to cuddle on the couch.”
Yay.
“I’ll be a good boy.” Looking around wouldn’t make me naughty.
“I know you will be.” Daddy gave me a big smile. “But I bought a few books for us to read. Why don’t you see if you like any of them. Oh, and there are a few other things that you mentioned. Your new goodies are right there in your basket.”
“Oh, I have a basket?” Daddy’s living room was big and very organized but he had a squishy-looking couch and lots of shelves. “That’s my basket.”
I already had stuff at Daddy’s house.
Dally was going to be so excited too.
“Go see what’s in there.” Daddy kissed my head and hurried toward the kitchen. “I bet I can be back before you figure out which book is your favorite.”
“I’m fast.” Super fast. “I’m going to win.”
I ran-ran-ran over to my basket and plopped down, pulling it out from the bottom shelf. “I’ve got a shelf, Daddy.”
There was nothing on it but my basket and a teddy bear and a little blanket.
I got more stuff.
“You do.” Daddy chuckled in the kitchen. “But I’m going to win. You’re getting distracted.”
“Because I got stuff, Daddy.” I got books and crayons and a puzzle. “I got paper, Daddy.”
He even remembered white paper too.
“Paper and coloring books, and I figured out which of my streaming services has cartoons. That was harder than you’d think.” Daddy huffed and sounded silly. “I think I confused the algorithms completely because I’m getting the weirdest ads in my newsfeed now.”
Giggling, I dug through the books. “I’m looking at the books, Daddy.”
I was going to find the best book and then I was going to make Daddy show me more cartoons so his ads were silly and made him huff and sigh.
“I’m back.” Daddy was very proud of himself and even grinned big when I flopped back on the floor. “I win.”
“But I’m supposed to win.” Even Dally said so. “That’s the rules.”
Daddy shrugged and went over to the big chair that had to be his favorite place to sit because it was big and soft and had books and stuff on a tiny table. “That’s not in the limits you’ve given me so far.”
Oh.
“I have to fix that.” How did I forget? “I’m so silly.”
“That’s okay.” Daddy sat down in his chair and put my drink down on his table. “But if you want to, you can give me a kiss as my prize.”
Hmm.
“You won, so you need a prize.” Crawling over to Daddy, I climbed up in his lap and he even knew he had to wrap his arms around me. “That needs to go on the list too. I think I forgot that part.”
“We can’t have that.” Daddy tapped my nose and picked up my cup. “We’ll make sure we add both. How about we make a special list for important rules?”
“Yes.” Oh, my cup had handles. “I got two handles, Daddy. You’re so smart.”
He was being a great Daddy.
“Thank you.” He gave me another cheek kiss. “I thought you might like that.”
Daddy was cute when he was proud of himself.
“I do.” And it even had a top so I wouldn’t spill it. “See?”
I showed him and took a drink. “You did a good job, Daddy.”
Dally was wrong. I didn’t have to teach him everything.
“Thank you.” More cheek kisses. “I’m glad I was right. It was hard but I did my best.”
“Your best is so good.” It was my turn to kiss his cheek. “What else do you think I’d like?”
