“It’s not finished. I didn’t want to make every decision. You can pick out some special things to make it perfect,” he told her before he pointed toward the bathroom.
“Really?” The idea excited her. “I’ve never had a playroom before. Is it really for me?”
He chuckled. “I only have one Little girl. Of course, it’s for you, Sadie. And don’t think I’ve forgotten the fact that you just argued with me about bedtime. Little girls need their sleep. I’d like us to spend some time talking before I tuck you in, but when Daddy says it’s time for bed, there will be no arguing.” He lifted a brow.
“Yes, Sir.” His commanding tone and words made her feel something special deep in her chest. Like he cared. He really cared. He had her best interests at heart. He wouldn’t put her to bed just to be mean or assert his authority. He would do so because he knew she needed her sleep.
She gasped as she stepped into the bathroom. It was much larger than she’d expected, with two sinks, a shower, and a separate bathtub. It was modern, like the kitchen. She’d noticed that some parts of this resort had an old-fashioned flare that made it look quaint from days gone by. Still, the important details, like kitchens and bathrooms, the electrical grid, the heating and cooling, the safety features, and the security system were all modern and even somewhat futuristic, in her opinion.
Some of the work on the updates was still happening around them, but most of it had been finished recently. Mr. Baldwin Kingsley III had put a lot of effort into getting this place renovated before he’d brought any of them on board.
“Where does that door lead to?” she asked, pointing to the one on the other side of the bathroom.
“That one connects directly to the master bedroom. There’s only one bathroom in each apartment, but guests can access it from the hall.” He tapped her nose. “And for Little girls who need to potty when they’re in their playroom.”
She giggled.
He backed up. “I’ll give you privacy to potty and brush your teeth. There’s a new toothbrush for you in the holder.”
When he left her alone, closing the door with a soft snick, Sadie found herself staring at her entire body in the full-length mirror on the back of the door.
She could hardly recognize herself. She held her arms out and smiled. She really did feel pretty. She could see the outline of her naked body through the material. Her breasts were easily defined and her dark nipples discernable. Daddy had certainly chosen this nightgown well. She wondered what else he had in those drawers. He’d obviously done a lot of shopping.
With a grin and a pep in her step, she hurried to potty and brush her teeth.
Chapter Sixteen
Rocco couldn’t stop smiling as he wandered back into the playroom to wait for Sadie. Tonight was going so well. He was pleased with himself. He still wanted to have a serious discussion with her, but he hoped it wouldn’t dampen the mood.
He headed for the rocking chair and settled in it before she returned. Then he looked around. The room was still rather sparse. It needed more toys, books, games, and decorations, but he wanted her to choose those things. He wanted her to feel like it was her room, not something he’d thrust upon her. Though judging by the look on her face, he didn’t think she had been displeased with the items he’d purchased.
When she came back through the door, his breath hitched. She truly was gorgeous in any outfit—and naked—but the nightie he’d chosen made her look angelic. The light from the hallway filtered through the material, outlining her sexy curves and making his mouth water.
She knew it, too, because she stood in the doorway and giggled, rocking forward and backward to make the hem sway and tease him.
“Come here, naughty girl,” he teased. If his cock got any harder, it would push out of the top of his jeans. He held out a hand.
She rushed toward him as though she couldn’t stand another moment of separation. Thank God. He couldn’t either.
When he lifted her onto his lap, he intentionally let her nightgown settle around her, not under her sweet bottom.
She winced.
“Sit still, Cookie, so your bottom doesn’t hurt against Daddy’s jeans.” He lifted her and resettled her in just the right spot. “How’s that?”
“Good. Thank you, Daddy.” She pointed at the bookcase. “You got me books.”
“Yes. You told me you had to leave yours behind. I wanted to get you started, but if there’s anything missing, you make a list, and Daddy will order them for you.”
When she smiled at him, her face lit up so brightly it took his breath away. Then she threw her arms around his neck. “I can’t believe this is happening,” she murmured.
