Still, seeing him isn’t something that is easily done.
If it wasn’t for his work with my mother, I wouldn’t be able to make contact with him. If I ever dared to share the number I know, I’d be dead before the hour was up, and I know it. I could have given those bikers his number at any point, hell, I could have found a way to get them in, but I’d never risk my life like that. Marek has an army of men surrounding him, and he isn’t afraid to use them. Not to mention he has an in with basically every police force he comes in contact with.
He has dirt on everyone, and he isn’t afraid to use it.
Money talks, and Marek has a way of providing everyone with exactly what they want to get them on his side.
Oh, his claws are in deep, and he knows he’s powerful.
His chain goes high, high up and no one is scared to rattle it in fear of the consequences.
He has his band of men that he keeps close, four or five of them, and they’re always with him. They go out, they do the work, and they report back. Somewhat like the biker club, I suppose, only the difference is the club is trying to stop men like him, and he’s trying to rid himself of people trying to stop him. It’s a circle that will keep going around and around, which is why I need to turn the club in a different direction.
Arriving at the heavily guarded, heavily fenced lot, the black SUV stops. Two men come up and scour through the vehicle; even though the two that are driving are Marek’s men, that doesn’t mean they don’t get searched every single time they come in here. He’s aware I’m coming, but I know I’ll have to be checked before I’m allowed in. It’s how it goes, and numbly, I let it happen before they finally allow me into the tent.
This time, women are practicing their acts, swinging from ropes slung up high, doing things that I couldn’t even begin to wrap my head around. They’re all incredibly beautiful, and they all have a talent that has been forced into them by hours of punishment. Not the way you’d wish to pursue your dreams, but that doesn’t stop Marek. Hell, not much in this world could stop him.
Reaching the large RV, I bang on the door.
I’m in a wound-up mood, and I know coming in here with a temper like mine is something I shouldn’t be doing, but here I am.
The door opens, and Marek stands, wearing only a pair of black jeans, his well-muscled torso on display, intricate ink swirling over his perfect skin. A defined V looks as though it has been carved out of stone, and my eyes can’t help but follow it down where it disappears into those low-slung jeans. His hair, which is usually pulled back, is loose around his shoulders and slightly damp. His crystal eyes narrow as they take me in, and I know I will have a lot of questions to answer.
“You dare call me so late demanding a meeting.”
It isn’t a question, but rather a statement.
He’s not happy, and I know I’ll leave this RV in even more pain than I’m coming into it, but I don’t care. I need this over with.
“I wouldn’t if it wasn’t important,” I say, my voice tight.
He steps aside, and I walk into the large space, doing as I always do, walking over to the bench and reaching for my pants.
“Leave them,” he spits, his voice like a whip. “I can smell the sex on you.”
Of course he can.
I pause, turning to face him, my finger still on the button of my pants.
“You’ll be pleased to know I found someone to make me cum, a challenge you haven’t been able to carry out.”
I’m playing with fire, and I know better, yet something inside of me is looking for a fight tonight.
I’ll regret it, I know I will, yet that doesn’t seem to stop me.
Marek strides toward me, his face tight as he backs me into the furniture behind me, slamming my lower back against it. Leaning in close, his voice comes out an icy hiss when he informs me, “If I wanted to make you cum, Acacia, I could do it without so much as putting my fucking hands on you. I do not, because I do not care for your pleasure. You dare come in here and speak to me as you did? Do you wish to die?”
“Maybe,” I say, never once breaking our gaze.
“Weakness isn’t in your nature.” He steps back. “It’s pathetic. Tell me why you have come.”
“That biker club isn’t going to stop until they find you, and as you can see by my face, they’re not going to stop until they get something. I told them I’d give them information, but I have a better idea, one that will get them off your back, and mine.”
