Holding back a groan at the luxury leather underneath him, he thought about how Stud hadn’t spared any expense building this bike.
Going slow to get the feel of the bike, Rory took a lap around the paved track. As he passed, Stud motioned for him to go faster. About to take the opportunity Stud was giving him, Rory held the purring monster back, an idea coming to his mind.
He finished the second lap and brought the bike back to Stud.
“Dude, this machine kicks motherfucking ass,” Rory gave Stud the adulation he deserved.
“Thanks.” Stud took the helmet back from him. “You could have taken it faster.”
“Wanted to make sure I didn’t damage anything on this bad boy.” He gave Stud an abashed look. “Didn’t want to take a chance I would be held responsible for fixing it. This bike is out of my price range.”
“Mine, too.” Viper grinned, taking the helmet away from Stud. “But it damn sure isn’t going to keep me from taking it for a test ride.”
“Have at it.” Stud jumped up to sit on the railing as Viper took off on the bike.
Seeing that Jewell was putting off angry vibes, he decided to pursue the idea he’d had while riding Stud’s bike.
“Shade said you’re not selling the bike, that you take orders before you build them.”
Rory jumped up onto the rail as Viper whizzed past.
“Yeah,” Stud answered offhandedly, his attention on the bike.
“I just bought a house, so it’s out of my price range.” He raised his voice to be heard over the motor. “Not used to waiting for what I want either. Would you be interested in a deal that will make both of us extremely happy?”
Stud’s refusal was quick and to the point. “Fuck no.”
“Don’t you want to hear what I can offer in return?” Rory countered.
“Go ahead, but it’s time to waste. The answer will still be no.”
“Okay, that’s fair.” Rory nodded, not deterred. “I’m still going to try. I give sex lessons …”
Stud’s eyes jerked away from watching Viper.
“I’m willing to give … let’s just say ten sex lessons, which either you, or your wife, can use individually, or we can split the lessons, so say four can be used as a couple.”
Stud was affronted at the offer. “Are you a fucking a comedian or something? I let you ride my bike, and you’re trying to make a joke out of the price?”
“I’m not joking around. I’m serious. I give lessons in sex.”
Stud nearly fell off the railing, laughing, when he realized Rory was serious. “I have five kids. I don’t need lessons!”
Rory didn’t let Stud’s laughter, or The Last Riders waiting for their turn to ride, bother him on his mission to get the bike. He did notice one thing, though—Jewell wasn’t laughing, and she had moved closer so she could hear better.
Rory laughed back at him, which had Stud stopping.
“Just because you have kids doesn’t make you a good lover.”
“No, it doesn’t, but I’ve never had any complaints, and every woman I’ve been with, they always came back for more.”
“Really? You’re married to Sex Piston, right?”
Stud’s humor began to slip. “Yeah. So?”
Rory took a stab in the dark. “She your first marriage?”
All traces of laughter disappeared from Stud. “No.”
“I met your woman last night. She seems very aggressive for a woman who’s getting what she needs at home.”
“Careful. I’ve been listening to you for shits and giggles. You’re about to turn a corner you don’t want to go around,” Stud cautioned.
“No disrespect intended. I’m just giving you a chance to up your game.”
“My game is fucking fine,” Stud snarled.
“If—and I’m saying if—I were to go over to where your wife is and ask her if your game is fine, how confident are you that she would say the same thing?”
Viper brought the bike back, getting off and expecting another Last Rider to take their turn. None of the listening bystanders took the opportunity, too enthralled with the conversation that Stud and he were having.
“What’s going on?” Viper asked.
“Rory just offered Stud ten sex lessons for the bike,” Rider informed him.
“Oh … I’ll give him twenty for the bike,” Viper joked.
Stud glared at him as the bikers began offering their prices.
“I’ll give twenty-five, plus throw in a couple of foot massages,” Knox quipped.
“You should ask Sex Piston … before you turn him down,” Killyama urged Stud, her caustic voice rising above the others. Placing two fingers between her lips, she released a loud whistle, which had Rory envying the ability.
Stud hopped of the rail when he heard another whistle floating back. “Fuck.”
“Before we consider the offer”—Killyama’s piercing green gaze landed on Jewell—“you fucked him yet?”
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Rory hastily jumped off the rail to jerk Jewell to a standstill before she could land a hand on the obnoxious woman. Shaking his restraining hand off her arm, Jewell planted her face in front of Killyama’s belligerent one.
