“Can’t help it,” he says as Tanner’s arms circle my waist, his lips dropping to my neck. “It comes naturally. Call it a gift.”
Arizona lets out a barking laugh. “If that’s your idea of a gift, what the hell do you call your ability to fuck?” she says before her eyes widen, realizing exactly what she said out loud.
Her head whips toward Jax who just smirks, pride shining in his eyes as he looks back at her. “It’s nothing but a God-given natural talent,” he tells her, his arms opening wide as if inviting her in. “And it’s all yours, baby. All you gotta do is come and get it.”
Arizona just stares at him, more than practiced at dealing with his charm, but when he winks, she freaking melts. “God, Jax. You’re such an idiot,” she tells him, stepping into his arms and pushing up onto her tippy toes. She brushes a kiss over his lips and pulls back to beam up at him. “Good luck warming the bench tonight,” she says, her smile quickly morphing into a wicked grin as she steps out of his arms.
Jax presses a hand to his chest and falls to his knees. “Fuck, that hurt.”
She rolls her eyes and glances toward us girls. “Come on, we better find seats before all the good ones disappear.”
“Good point,” I say, turning in Tanner’s arms and looking up at him as people from all over town pour into the school parking lot for tonight’s championship game. “You’re going to be amazing,” I tell him, knowing it right down in my chest. “And listen, if you bring me a trophy at the end of the night, I might even do that thing you like.”
His brow arches with interest. “Really?” he questions. “That thing?”
“Uh-huh.”
“And if we don’t win?”
“Then it’ll just be you and your hand tonight.”
Tanner looks pained with the thought, but before he can get a word out, Ilaria glances at me. “Isn’t that a Pink song?”
I smirk. “Damn right it is.”
Tanner rolls his eyes and drops his arms, pressing one more kiss to my lips before he pulls away and strips off his letterman jacket. “Fucking perfect,” he tells me as he drapes it around me. I glance over my shoulder and nearly come in my pants at the sight of his name and number on my back. “You know what?” he murmurs, adjusting his cock in his pants. “When I fuck you tonight, and I will be, I want you in this, and only this.”
Holy shit, there really is a God.
Tanner winks before turning and walking away with the guys, only Riley hangs back. He glances at us before flicking his gaze back toward the blonde bombshell stepping out of the white BMW. “Will you guys sit with her? I don’t want her to be alone and bored.”
“Of course we will,” Addison tells him. “Who else is going to tell her about the time you accidentally shit your pants on the train and had to ditch them and run?”
His eyes widen in horror. “No, you can’t. I swear, Addie, if you—”
“Chill,” she laughs. “As if I’d scare her off with that. Obviously I’ll wait until she’s crazy in love with you and trapped before telling her. That way it’s harder for her to run away. I mean, you should see the list of shit I’ve got on Tanner that I’m just waiting to spill to Bri.”
Riley presses his lips into a hard line and shakes his head, unimpressed with Addie’s wicked ways, only he considers her a moment. “Is the nudie run story on that list?”
“You know it,” she laughs.
Riley chuckles before looking back at Zoe, and when she glances up at us, the widest, beaming smile splits across his face. He takes off at a jog toward her, and the most wonderful feeling fills my chest. I really hope this girl is everything he wants her to be. I’ve never seen him so happy.
He speaks with her for a minute before pointing up toward us. She glances our way and gives us a nervous smile, allowing Riley to take her hand and lead her back toward us. As he does, the goofiest, most excited grin stretches across his face.
I can’t help but laugh. He’s such a dork—but a lovable one.
“Guys, this is Zoe,” he says as they approach, stealing another glance her way. “And these are all the girls. Ilaria, Chanel, Addison, Arizona, and Brielle. You’re welcome to sit with them if you don’t want to sit alone.”
Her eyes light up with relief. “Oh really?” she questions, glancing at us. “Would that be okay? I don’t want to intrude on your night.”
“It is more than okay,” Ilaria says, slipping her arm through Zoe’s and leading her toward the ginormous grandstand behind us. She glances back at Riley, giving him a pointed stare. “Don’t you have somewhere to be?”
