“He’s too old for you,” my brother scolds me. I do my best to hold back the venom because, until last two and a half years, my brother wasn’t around me, so I don’t need his advice on how to live my life. He was off serving his country and I was left to fend for myself, doing just fine on my own.

Brooks arrived after getting word that our parents were killed in a boating accident. Unfortunately, before he could return to active duty, he was hit in a drunk driver accident that left him unable to continue his career.

“Maybe, but what does he have to do with me?”

“Just I wouldn’t be so complacent about your safety.”

I’m never worried about my safety around Mr. Knight. He makes me feel protected. If there’s anything to doubt my safety around him, it’s because I refuse to take birth control just in case that man ever wanted me naked.

It’s a long shot in hell, but I’d spread my legs around his thick, muscular frame and thrust my hands in his hair and ride that big motherfucker without any protection, clinging to him while screaming for him to fill me up with his babies. There have been too many nights where I wake up after calling him Daddy.

There’s just something so sexy about that older man I can’t even think straight when he pops into my store. He just turned thirty-seven and I’m only twenty-two, but I want his babies. I want him to breed me while he calls me his baby girl, which he did on occasion.

“Are you still there?” Brooks grumbles on the other end.

“I told you I wasn’t. I left a long time ago.” I’m lying through my teeth, hoping he can’t read me.

“Girl, did you hear anything I just said?” Oh shit. “You weren’t paying any attention to anything I said.”

“Sorry, the reception is terrible. It must be the weather as I drive away from the state.”

The door to my storefront dings and the devil himself strolls in, Daddy. My lips part.

“You’re a liar. Leave now,” my brother orders.

“I’m leaving now.” It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Mr. Knight in the area. He’s the owner of the largest construction firm in the county and the finest man in existence.

“That you are,” Mr. Knight snarls, reaching out to take my cell phone, ending the call. “That better not be Samuels.”

What’s with everyone mentioning Samuels? I just roll my eyes and say, “It was my brother, not that it was any of your business. So was there a reason that you came in here? I’m obviously closed like every other store on the strip on the boulevard.” I snatched my phone out of his large hand.

“Yes, you’re not supposed to be here and I’m taking you to safety.” Try to remain calm.

“Why?” My heart’s thumping out of my chest, wondering why he’d risk his life.

“Because you obviously don’t listen to your brother at all.”

“He told me to watch out for you. Is that something I should do as well?” I narrow my eyes at him, daring him to say yes to that, but instead his blue eyes darken and a rush of liquid flows straight to my pussy.

He clenches his powerful hands. “No. I’m about to nail gun his balls to his desk.”

“Ouch. That sounds painful. Anyway, I have work to do and need to secure my things.” I turn away from him before I do or say something stupid.

Suddenly, a large gust of wind could be heard through the building, howling loudly. “Baby girl, I’m sorry to say, but you don’t have enough time to secure things properly.”

“I know, but I have to do the best I can.” He heads to the window, checking the weather.

“Honey, we don’t have any time.” The wind picks up some, rattling the building, and then the rain pelts down. Moving like I’ve never seen him before, he hurries to my side, bends, and thrusts his arm under my legs and then one arm on my back. “Hold on tight, baby girl.”

Before I know it, I’m in his arms, snatching my purse off the counter with my phone in the other hand just as he carries me out of the store directly to his massive pickup truck. He cradles me, using his larger frame to protect me from the rain and I can’t even enjoy the feel of his brawny body because we’re being slammed with hail and still, I take a big whiff of his scent which is a mixture of his cologne and natural odor and I’m addicted.

Once I’m inside his enormous beast of a vehicle, he slams the door shut and hustles to the other side in a dash as the wind blows a large sign across the road. If someone had been walking across they would have been seriously injured. He could have been the one to have been hit by the metal object and it would have been my fault.
