She goes still, breaking her mouth away from mine and looking down. So do I, even knowing I’ll find my cock tenting this horrible makeshift loincloth I wish I’d changed out of by now. I hear the shuddering breath that leaves her before she looks back up at me.
“You want me.”
Why does she sound so amazed by that?
“I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my life,” I assure her. “I will always want you this way.”
“Then, have me.”
I don’t question her words. If she’s telling me she’s ready for me to have her, then I won’t waste another second doing just that. I walk her backwards, all the while savoring the look of lust that clouds her eyes, swirling in the green and blue orbs. Her back hits the wall and her eyes widen in surprise as I drop to my knees before her.
“What are you …” She trails off as I begin lifting her dress, only letting out a high, squeaky, “Oh!”
“I am making sure my mate is so wet that she’s begging for my cock by the time I enter her.”
Nothing leaves her but a desperate whimper. Just as her head falls back with my fingers trailing up her inner thigh, a hard knock comes at the door. I see her head snap back up before my gaze turns towards the door. Whoever that is on the other side, I hate them.
I hate them so very much.
“Brother?” Halun asks.
Selina rushes to push her dress back down. I stand, bringing my lips so close to hers that I feel them against mine as I speak.
“This is far from over.”
“I hope so,” I hear her murmur as I walk to the door where I find my brother waiting without a smile on the other side.
“What?” I growl out as I look at Halun.
“There is much we need to discuss,” he tells me.
“Now?”
“Well, you’ll be leaving soon, and without me, so yes, now.”
Confused at what he means, I guess we do indeed need to speak immediately.
“I will take Selina with me,” Vabila says from a little further down the hallway.
“Both of you, wait.”
I close the door in my brother’s face, enjoying his indignant expression at someone dismissing him. It doesn’t happen very often.
“Are you okay to go with my sister?” I ask Selina. “She wishes to bathe you, give you new clothes, and probably do your hair since she loves to do that at home with anyone who will let her.”
“I will be able to understand her, too, right?”
“Yes, every Hallan now.”
She nods. “Okay. You will be okay, right? You’re not going to fight or anything?”
“If my brother is back on the ship, then there is no one left to fight. At least for now.”
“Okay,” she says low. “You will come for me when you’re done with your brother?”
“The moment I am done. Well, no, I will bathe first, too, then come for you.”
She laughs at that and nods. It feels like far too long since I last heard her laugh.
“Okay,” she says. “Just one more question.”
“Ask as many as you like, Zawla.”
“What does Waliz mean? What they called you before?”
“It means Prince. I am the second prince of Hallalah. Halun the first, and heir.”
She nods a slow bob of her head. “I see. So, your parents are the king and queen?”
“Yes.”
“And your sister, a princess?”
“A Mina.” First and foremost. But, then … “And yes, a princess, as well.”
She chuckles. “Does that make me a princess then now, too?”
“As good as one, and if anyone treats you as less than that, you tell me and I will correct it.”
Her laughter stops with her rising brow.
“I will see you soon.”
I kiss her and lead her to the door. When I open it, Vabila is waiting for her with a smile.
“I have prepared the very best of our oils for you,” she tells Selina.
“Oh … Thank you.”
Selina looks at me over her shoulder with a longing in her eyes that I feel at the very core of me as she’s led away. Then, she’s around the corner and Halun steps forward.
“Can we speak now, One Eye?”
Only my brother would joke about something like that, because he knows it’s something I need to laugh about. And I do. People say he jokes too much but I know it’s usually to make someone feel better when they need it the most. Like I do right now. As he steps in the room, though, his face becomes stern, his expression every bit of the Prince he is, and the future king he will someday become.
“The Mina told us much before we set out for this planet,” he says.
“Vabila told me some.”
He nods. “She told us this planet was an answer to a problem we do not even realize we have yet. That first there will be a battle, but then there would be negotiations. That, above all else, we must save the females of this planet. For they are our future.”
