Sebastian gets handsy real fast—like he did before, but this time, he eagerly plants his ass against my crotch and shows me how he shakes that ass. He spins around and kisses me. Hard. Hot breath rushes from his nostrils, pushing against my face.
Good as it feels, the chemistry I have with this guy doesn’t hold a candle next to Cody.
But I do my best to get into it.
Hell, Cody’s probably on the other side of town right now roping two guys into a three-way. If he did, I’d rather just swing into his room and have a four-way. And I’m not sure he’d mind, either.
But why am I thinking about this while Sebastian’s sliding his tongue into my mouth?
“Seriously?” I hear beside me.
It’s a familiar voice. Not one I want to hear right now.
I turn to Lance, who glares at me, his eyebrows raised. In slacks and a button-up shirt, he looks like he’s in a bit of a daze—the way he usually looks when he’s had a few too many drinks.
“Big surprise. Big fucking surprise.”
Shit. Drunk Lance is not something I want to deal with right now.
“Ummm,” Sebastian mutters.
“I’m sorry,” I say. “Can you just give me one second?”
“Oh, no, no, no!” Lance shouts so that several people on the dance floor move away from us. “I’ve already wasted enough time on you. I’m not interested in wasting any more. You’ll hook up with anybody these days, won’t you? Having a three-way with some kid. Now you’re just slutting it up in a fucking harness. I thought you were a nice guy, and then I had to find out from my best fucking friend that you were fucking shooting pornos while you were in LA.”
One fucking video. One fucking mistake. But that’s not how he sees it.
My cheeks warm as I blush.
I turn to catch Sebastian’s wide-eyed reaction to Lance’s fit.
“Can we not have this discussion here?” I say even though it’s too late. The damage has been done.
And judging by the serious expression on Lance’s face, I don’t think he’s going to go any easier on me than he did the night when he discovered the video.
“Why can’t we have this discussion now?” he asks. “Half the people here have probably seen it. God knows I must’ve been the only guy on the planet who didn’t jerk off to it!”
I notice everyone on the dance floor is glancing our way…even some of the guys on X, who don’t even usually notice this kind of shit.
“Lance, please, I’ll talk about this with you outside. In the parking lot.”
“No, I want to have this discussion right now. You made me think you were something you weren’t. The glasses. The cute outfits. It’s all just a disguise to hide the fact that you’re a filthy whore!”
His words cut through me like a knife.
I feel weak. Defeated. I should just get out of there. Leave before he embarrasses me anymore, but in some ways, I feel like I fucking deserve this. That this is how I have to pay for the mistakes I’ve made.
“You need to chill the fuck out,” I hear a voice say, and as I turn, I see Cody march past me. He rushes up to Lance, who stands firm.
Only, Drunk Lance thinks he could stand a chance in a fight with Cody.
“What did you say to me?” Lance asks.
This is not going to be good.

“I said you need to chill the fuck out.” I don’t back down, don’t step away from Lance as his nostrils flare in anger.
I’d meant to try and avoid Hayden tonight. When Travis said he wanted to come, I was leery. Hayden is supposed to be doing his thing, and I worried he would feel weird about it if I was around. Travis insisted it would be fine, and I made the choice to keep my distance until I noticed a commotion and realized this motherfucker was all up in Hayden’s shit.
“Of course, you come to his rescue. I heard what the two of you did with that twink. I knew—fucking knew there was something going on with you the night the three of us were together. Fuck you both for thinking you could play me like that.”
“Are you kidding me right now?” My hands squeeze into fists. I’m not a big fighter, but there’s nothing I want more than to knock the hell out of this guy right now. “You’re delusional. You’re insecure, and you’re taking it out on him. I didn’t know Hayden that night, but I sure as shit am glad I know him now. You don’t even know what you had in him.”
The crowd is gathering tighter around us. Someone yells at both of us to cool it, and I want nothing more than that, but I’m also not going to let him treat Hayden like shit because of his own insecurities.
