“Finn,” I gasp.

“Hm.” His answering hum is appreciative and so fucking sexy. “So wet.”

The back of my head hits the door with a thump when he flicks my clit with his thumb and my nipple with the tip of his tongue.

“Oh my god,” I breathe.

“Is this for me, Josslyn?” he asks, licking my other nipple as his fingers continue to move. “Is this pretty pussy wet for me?” He brings his face back up to mine. “Or were you this soaked before I got here?” I shake my head vehemently. When he stops moving his fingers, I push into him, trying to get myself off, and he chuckles softly. “Tell me.”

“It’s for you. Only you,” I pant, meeting his dark gaze and grinding my hips forward. “Please, Finn.”

“Hm.” He takes my mouth again, this time in a deep, slow kiss as he dips another finger inside me, then another, and another, eliciting a sharp gasp from me as I break the kiss and tilt my neck back with another moan.

Holy shit. His mouth lands on my neck, sucking and biting lightly as he continues to fuck me with his fingers, slowing down the ones inside me to add his thumb to my clit. My core clenches hard.

“Fuck, I’m going to come,” I pant. “Finn. I’m going to…”

He drags his mouth back down to my breast and bites my nipple as he hooks his fingers inside me. “Scream my name when you come for me, baby.”

And I do. I shatter, screaming his name over and over as my entire body shakes. He pulls his fingers out slowly, still moving against my folds, his thumb doing slow circles on my clit. It’s a gentle touch, but no less effective.

“Look at me,” he says, voice husky.

I do, through hazy eyes. It’s not until I blink a few times and feel tears spilling out that I realize I’m crying. Why am I crying? Finn doesn’t comment on it. He takes his hand away to suck his fingers before slinking into my panties once again and continuing his slow, tortuous motion.

“Are you going to come for me again, baby?” he asks, kissing along my jaw and laughing lightly against me when he dips his fingers into me and feels me clench around him. “So. Fucking. Perfect.”

He lifts his head and watches me as he fingers me. The orgasm that sweeps through me feels more intense than the last, but with his eyes locked on mine, the words get lodged in my throat. I bite my lip hard, making a soft whimpered sound when I find my release. And then his lips are on mine again.

FINN

After promising Josslyn I’d have someone drive her car home, I usher her to mine. There are a million things I want to ask, and I can tell there are just as many things she wants to say, but neither of us speaks. Every once in a while, I glance over and find her chewing on her lip, appearing to be lost deep in thought, but I don’t dare interrupt the silence. Not when I’m still trying to process my own emotions. The relief I felt when she said she didn’t fuck anyone was all the confirmation I needed to confirm how far gone I am for her. And yet, I have no idea how I’m going to say that to her. We’re still quiet when we get to our building, and we ride the elevator up to her floor and get to her apartment. She turns around before unlocking her door with a frown on her face.

“Are you … is this … are you coming in?”

“That’s the idea.”

She turns toward me again and presses her back against the door. She looks down the hall to the right, to the left, down at the black carpet, and across at the wooden panels. Anywhere … everywhere but at me. I bite back my annoyance and push down the urge to snap. I wait and wait, and fucking finally, she clears her throat and looks at me again.

“I can’t do this anymore.”

My stomach sinks. Jesus. I didn’t know five little words could have such an impact. She’s only been my girlfriend—unbeknownst to her—for a couple of hours and she’s already breaking up with me.

“Do what?” I ask.

“This.” She signals between us. “Whatever this is. I don’t want to do it anymore.”

Fuck. That. The only reason I don’t say that outright is because she already looks wary and I want to know why. I have a feeling it has to do with her stepfather, which is a lead that has gone nowhere. The only things I have are the footage of him arguing with Josslyn outside of Onyx that night, my sister’s journal entries, and pictures my PI has taken of him doing mundane things with mundane people. None of that would hold up in a court of law. Worse, I have a feeling that Josslyn is going to give me an ultimatum: her or justice for Mal, and if it comes to that … fuck.
