I couldn’t find my voice. My throat felt like it was closed off, and I had to swallow a couple of times to be able to speak. “Oh, Walker!” I threw my arms around him and cried.

“Ah, hell, honey. I’m sorry. If you can’t do this, we’ll find another way.”

“No! I want to!” I clung tighter, afraid he’d push me away. “It’s just that… well, that’s so beautiful!”

“It is?” He sounded puzzled but didn’t try to push me away to look at me.

“So beautiful. Yes. I want to do that.”

Finally, he chuckled. “If we live to be a hundred, I’m not sure I’ll ever understand you. You’re gonna keep me on my toes, aren’t you?”

I laughed, finally drawing back to meet his steady gaze with a smile. “I certainly hope so. What fun would it be if I didn’t?”

“It’d help keep my sanity, is what it’d do. But I’m looking forward to the circles you’re gonna run around me.”

A couple hours later, we met Ace in his shop. He sketched out some ideas he had, and we talked about it for fifteen or twenty minutes before we settled on one I loved. It had the words, “Property of” arched over the top of the design and “Walker” woven into the stem of a cherry blossom. The delicate four-petaled flower was white with dark pink accents around the edge of the petals and in the center. It was the loveliest tattoo I’d ever seen. He inked the inside of my right inner forearm. That way, if I shook hands with someone, they’d see it readily. Also, a semi-transparent replica of the Iron Tzars MC logo lay underneath the flower, leaving no doubt which club I belonged with.

“What do you think, Walker?” Ace snapped his gloves off and grinned up at him.

“I think it’s perfect, Ace. You’ve outdone yourself.”

“I aim to please. You ready?”

“Absolutely.” He winked at me as he took his seat at Ace’s workstation. The ring tattoo on Walker’s left finger had my name woven around the top of his finger with a much smaller version of my cherry blossom in the center. Not exactly a manly tattoo, but it perfectly matched mine, and I noticed Walker’s smile as he gazed down at it with pride.

I pulled up a stool on the other side of him from Ace and laid my head on his belly. “I love you, Walker.”

“I love you too, baby. I’ll always be yours.”

“I’m glad, because I’m not sure I could ever willingly be separated from you. You’re the man of my dreams.”

When Ace moved away to get another color of ink to finish up, Walker pulled me onto his lap and wrapped me up tightly. Dog and Sparkle rested in one corner of the room, but both moved closer to sit by the lounge where we snuggled while Ace completed his work.

“I know you guys are still in the honeymoon phase,” Ace said, glancing up at us with a mischievous grin. “But you’re makin’ me want to barf with all the sweetness. Gonna give me a fuckin’ toothache, and I ain’t got no dental insurance.”

I giggled. “Get over it. It took me a long time to convince him I was the woman for him. Now you’re just gonna have to listen to me reinforce the idea.”

Ace sighed. “Fine. But when Stitches has to pull all my teeth, I’m gonna need some of that potato soup you made the other night. All to myself.” He grinned affectionately.

“I think that can be arranged.”

Ace put ointment and a cover over each of our tattoos. We said our goodbyes and went up to our room to celebrate.

Walker

Blossom slept peacefully in my bed. Just having her there was more satisfying than I was ready to admit. Scratch that. I fully admitted it because she was the most amazing, giving woman I’d ever met. She’d fought against her demons in the only way she could and won over a club full of badass bikers who’d been hardwired to never let outsiders in. Even the older members, the ones who’d had reservations when Sting had been voted in as president, had embraced her. Now that she wore my ink and my property patch, they were solidly in her corner. Even above me. In fact, news was still making its way around the compound, and they were still bitch-slapping me over trying to sell Sparkle.

Fucking dog still hated me.

Sting had called me down to his office, and I had a feeling I knew what was coming next. When I was redirected to Wylde’s office, I knew I’d been right.

“Where’s your woman, Walker?” Sting stood over Wylde’s shoulder but turned his attention to me when I walked in the room.

“Asleep.” I smirked. “Wore her out.”

“Uh-huh.” Sting rolled his eyes as he shifted his weight. “Wylde, you said you had something?”
