When Brielle reached her spot, her gaze strayed to the area where I was seated. Our eyes met, and I saw everything I imagined she could see in mine. She beamed at me, and I was so lost in her that I barely noticed the ceremony had begun.

When Brielle reached out to take Avery’s bouquet, the movement broke my trance, and I finally focused on the bride and groom. As they spoke their vows, I pictured Brielle and myself in their place. I glanced back at my girl, and her dreamy expression as she listened to their promises of love had warmth blooming in my chest. Then she looked at me, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait to make her officially mine.

If Brielle wanted a big wedding, I would make sure it happened. But we’d already be man and wife.

She really was perfect for me, and I wanted her tied to me in every way as soon as possible.

The rest of the wedding was a bit of a blur, but I went through the motions. As the bridal party walked back down the aisle, I glared at Rhys, who was holding Brielle’s elbow. However, he didn’t notice because he was staring at Emma with a determined expression that I knew all too well.

Finally, the crowd began to disperse, and I gave my sister a hug and a kiss while promising to see her at the reception.

Then I swiftly found a quiet corner and pulled my phone from my pocket.

“Ivy,” I said to my assistant as soon as she picked up. “I need my jet fueled and ready to fly to Las Vegas in a few hours. Book the penthouse at the Lennox and make a reservation in their wedding chapel for tomorrow. Get their most expensive package. Also, set up an account in their bridal boutique. I’ll let Drew know you’ll be calling.”

If Ivy was shocked by my requests, she kept her thoughts to herself. She just asked a few clarifying questions before hanging up.

Then I shot off a text to my friend Drew Lennox, the owner of the Lennox Hotel and Casino, and received a response that he would make sure it all happened.

Satisfied that Brielle would officially be mine in less than twenty-four hours, I headed to the reception to dance with my gorgeous bombshell.

“You got me in trouble with the bride,” Brielle chided as we swayed back and forth in the middle of the dance floor.

Since Gabe had mentioned the conversation between the girls, I already knew that Avery hadn’t really given her that hard of a time. Figuring that she was trying to do something to distract herself so she would keep the promise she’d made when they were getting ready for the ceremony, I hid my smile. Avery had gotten Brielle to vow not to leave the reception until she and Gabe did.

From the hungry look in Brielle’s eyes, I had a feeling she was fighting the same desire as me. I was dying to drag my woman up to my room. Or hers. Or anywhere with a flat surface and enough privacy for us to do all the dirty things I’d been fantasizing about for the past few hours.

But I played along, and my breath was hot against her ear as I asked, “How did I manage to do that?”

“I disappeared without a word in the middle of her rehearsal dinner.”

One of my hands drifted lower to cup her ass as I smirked down at her. “I’m sorry your friend was pissed at you, baby. But nothing will make me regret doing whatever it took to get you to myself. Ever.”

Her arms were twined around my neck, and she moved one of them to cup my cheek. “I don’t regret it either. And once I explained what happened, Avery understood. She was too busy jumping up and down and squealing in excitement to be mad at me anymore. The hairstylist had to force her to sit back down so she could finish her updo.”

“Good.” I turned my head to press a kiss against her palm, enjoying the shiver that raced down her spine. “If she hadn’t been cool about us as a couple, that would’ve made family get-togethers with my sister and her family awkward as fuck.”

She tilted her head to the side, looking slightly bewildered. “How come?”

“I love my nephew, but I would never be okay with anyone making you uncomfortable,” I explained, pulling her closer. “If Avery said something shitty to you, I’d be too angry to care that she’s his wife. Then I’d say something to her that would only piss off Gabe.”

Brielle bit her lip, looking as though she was trying to hide a smile. “There’s one tiny flaw in your logic.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

She quirked a brow. “Why would I be there?”
