On the inside, I was beaming with pleasure. On the outside, I countered with, “Girlie? Don’t let Samantha hear you say something like that. It could be considered insulting to women…and we both know your godmother can kick some serious ass, in and out of the bedroom.”

“Ewwwww, gross,” I said. “I don’t like to think of sex and Samantha at the same time.” He looked to the left and then right, like we were in a crowd and he had a huge secret. “Especially because I think there’s a chance something is going on between her and my mom. Dude, that is a serious mood killer.”

I barked out a laugh. “Yeah, I think there may be a chance.” His hips still moved restless between my legs, like he was hungry…even if he might not know exactly what it was he craved. “So, if Eli says you’re straight, what are you doing right now?”

His fun-loving look vanished. “Eli doesn’t know much about me, so don’t ever depend on anyone else to give you my secrets. If you have a question about me, ask me. I’ve spent the biggest portion of my life on my own, either staying home with nannies while Mom and Dad worked or traveling for my own modeling career. I’ve been alone. I keep things close to my chest and learned not to ever share because one never knows who they can trust. So, what do you want to know?”

It took a lot not to allow Micah’s words about being alone to cut straight to my heart and rip it out. I couldn’t imagine what he’d gone through. Like my son, he’d been a child living in an adult world. Unlike Ari, it didn’t sound like he had any foundational support to assist him. Fuck, had I given Ari everything he needed in life? Had I been a role model or taken care of him when he’d needed it? What if I’d been no fucking better than what Micah had had?

“Yoohoo! What do you want to know?” he asked again, waving a hand in front of my face. This was weird; I’d never talked so much in bed before in my life.

“Are you straight?”

He rolled his eyes. “Stop labeling everything.”

Even raising a teenage son, I’d never done it before, but I rolled my eyes right back at him. “I’m not trying to stick a label on you. I’m trying to figure you out. Your history says one thing, but your body is saying another. You’re confusing…and I don’t enjoy being confused.”

He snorted. “Well, I don’t enjoy licking a guy’s dick for the first time and then having said guy yank me away from my prize—like you did earlier. I’m no professional, never having done this before, but I feel confident that it’s a universal rule that if someone is sucking dick or getting their dick sucked, you aren’t supposed to interfere.”

“See, there you go again,” I argued. “You said you’ve never done this before. Why now? Why last night and this morning? What’s going on, Micah?”

“Glad you asked,” he quipped. “Because I sure the hell didn’t understand it either. Trust me when I say, you aren’t the only one confused by my behavior. This whole,” he motioned between us, “being attracted to a guy is new and as confusing as fuck to me. Thankfully, I had a chance to do some internet searching while you were snoring the night away last night. Best I can tell, I’ve lumped myself into the infamous GFY category.” He nodded his head. “Yep, that’s all it can be. I’m gay for you, Landon.”

“Doubt it,” I answered as I tried to push him off me so this little bed romp could end before one of us—me—did something he might regret—like fuck my client. To be not much bigger than a minute, he was hard to push around. As a matter of fact, it didn’t appear that he was going anywhere anytime soon.

“I’ll prove it,” he said proudly. He inched up a bit further up my chest. “I’m going to kiss you,” he declared. “Kissing is, in my opinion, more intimate than fucking. I don’t kiss often, and I’ve never kissed a man. I’m really nervous.” He took my hand and placed it against his chest. “Feel my heart; it’s pounding. I’m nervous because the biggest part of me, the part that’s made all my sexual decisions up until now, is telling me that it’s going to not be a pleasant experience—maybe icky. The new Micah, though, the Micah that showed up about the same time you did, thinks the kiss will be fucking awesome…like change my entire life awesome.”

Wow. He was talking about kissing me like it could be the most horrible or wonderful thing in the world. It was mildly irritating but mostly humorous. No, it was Micah. I had a feeling that Micah did everything different, made everything more exciting.
