“That’s not fair. You’re reneging…” I started to say but I was interrupted by a piece of leather going in between my lips. Oh, my Lord! That was Tommy’s belt and he was getting it off his wrist and gagging me with it. It was quickly fastened around the back of my head.
“Who’s in charge?” he snarled and tightened the grip on my wrists.
I couldn’t answer, obviously, as I was gagged. His face looked absolutely furious. There was a vein popping in his forehead. I gasped in fear and he rammed in again and again, holding my eyes with his and then he let go of my wrists and flipped me so that I was on my belly and got back inside.
He had my hair in his fist, and he was pulling. And I was moaning, tasting the leather, feeling drool trickle out. The sound of skin slapping on skin pierced the air and then it was Tommy grunting, me grunting, and the bed banging into the wall. Then one of his hands grabbed my hand and took both our hands under my hips and he cupped me with both our hands and started using my fingers against my clit.
I moaned, and the orgasm gripped me. He was slamming in over and over while we circled my clit together and I clenched hard around him and listened to his masculine moan fill the room. What a beautiful fucking sound. He took the belt away from my mouth and moaned, “Who?”
“You’re in charge, baby,” I breathed, while continuing to come hard. Then not long later, we were snuggled up together falling asleep.
“Hey?” I whispered, kissing his owl tattoo.
“Hm?” he replied.
“You owe me a dollar.”
He laughed and then he kissed me breathless.
We hadn’t wanted to come back to the city so soon but found out that a) there was potential trouble brewing to do with Dario’s relationship and the sex slave resort and b) Lisa had lost her baby and was home. Tommy needed me locked down and safe while he helped Dare ensure that whatever threat there might be was neutralized, if needed, and I needed to be there for a member of our family if she needed me.
When we got back to the house Lisa, Luc, and Tessa were all in the family room. I didn’t see Sarah and none of the kids were around, so I assumed Sarah had them out somewhere.
Lisa was sitting on the sofa under a fleece blanket and her eyes were red. I stepped into the room and went to go to her but as Tommy stepped in behind me, she made a horrible sound that sounded like it rumbled up from her gut.
“No!” Lisa screamed and pointed at Tommy, her beautiful face contorted into an ugly hate-filled scowl. “Get away from me!” She threw the blanket and dashed from the room, slamming the door of a nearby bathroom. Smashing glass was the next sound we heard.
Tommy moved quickly, pounding on the door, calling, “Lisa!”
“You!” she howled from the other side of the door.
Tommy backed away, looking ashen. I knew, then, that she blamed Tommy for the loss of her baby. The way she’d acted when she saw him the morning after we’d arrived? I had a horrible sinking feeling.
What brought this on, though? She wasn’t like this at our place in Costa Rica, during the wedding.
“Tommy, you go. We’ll settle her down. Be safe.” I kissed him.
He gave me a little nod, gave me a squeeze, and left, looking visibly rattled.
It took a long time for her to come out. When she did, me, Tess, and Luc were sitting with a pot of tea, talking softly. No one was saying much of anything, though, certainly not what we were all thinking. We’d just sat quietly while the girls asked me where we were and I’d told them a bit about the farmhouse and the surprise Tommy’d given me.
Lisa emerged from the powder room, finally, and she glared at me.
“He killed my husband. I know he did. You know he did. We all know it. I want you to tell me exactly what happened.”
Oh shit.
Gan Chen arrived at noon sharp. Leanne, my receptionist, saw him in and offered refreshments. He was with two men, one Asian and one who looked Italian. Bodyguards. I was packing heat but had no one at my back. I had Zack and three of his guys in the boardroom and Zack was listening on an intercom and recording the meeting.
Gan declined the refreshment offer and I told Leanne not to allow anyone to interrupt us.
I reached for his hand and we shook. He asked his men to wait in the waiting room and to leave us alone. I guess he’d assessed my office and felt safe enough to converse with just me.
