Did he tell her?
Seriously?
“You’re not allowed to see them,” I growl, ignoring Wild altogether. “The trespassers are bad, Rae. They’re fucking warped.”
She scoffs, eyes snaring mine again. “Are you jealous?”
Wild snorts and Chet cracks up laughing. Fucking pricks.
“No.” I pin her with a harsh glare. “They were talking shit.”
“So? You idiots talk shit all the time,” she tosses back, waving a hand back and forth between me and Wild. “What makes them any worse?”
“Rae,” Ronan says quietly, taking her hand. “Jace was talking shit about Dez.”
Her brows furl together and she darts a glance my way. “What did they say?”
Wild throws his big-ass body onto the bed beside her and sits up on one elbow, grinning evilly. “Jace wants to fuck her. Thinks she’s hot.”
Sadie squawks out in surprise. “Wait. She’s like fourteen. Those guys are in their twenties. Yuck.”
“Now you tell me?” Raegan says, deflating like a balloon. “I didn’t know.”
Ronan squeezes onto the bed between her and Wild, who watches them both with interest. I love Wild like a cousin, but tonight he’s in the way. He’s costing me precious time with my two favorite people in my family. I wish I could make him and his friends leave already.
“If I didn’t know any better,” Wild says with a dark chuckle, “I’d say the three of you are fucking.”
All of us whip our heads in his direction. Ronan’s neck flashes bright red and Raegan gapes at him. I just want to push my siblings out of the way so I can throttle him.
“Shut up, Wild,” I bite out. “You know we’re not doing that shit. That’d be incest and that can’t fucking happen.” I scrub a palm over my face. “Not that I’d even want it to.”
Lies.
My emotions are a goddamn mess right now, forever tangled up with my sister and brother.
Wild sits back up and drapes an arm over Ronan’s shoulder before smirking my way. “I thought it ran in the family.”
Everyone is quiet, waiting for him to elaborate. He howls with laughter until tears are rolling down his face. My hands curl into fists and I’m seconds from beating the words out of him.
“What are you even talking about?” I demand. “You’re talking shit just like those idiots out there.”
Wild’s humor fades and he gives a sharp shake of his head. “You really don’t know?”
“Don’t know what?” Raegan hisses. “That you’re an asshole? We’re all plenty aware, Wild Knox.”
“Takes one to know one, wifey.” He ignores her huff of indignation and grins at me. “Dude. Your dad is your mom’s dad.”
Chet mutters a curse word under his breath and Sadie makes a choked sound. Meanwhile, me and my two siblings are silent.
“You done making shit up to scandalize your friends?” I snarl, glowering at him.
“Your taunts and lies are boring,” Raegan snaps at him. “Right, Ronan?”
Ronan has turned to look at Wild, a frown on his face. “What are you saying?”
“Man, I’m not fucking with you. I overheard our dads reminiscing on our last visit, when they were shitfaced drunk, about how they didn’t like each other in the beginning.” Wild’s gaze bounces from Ronan to Raegan and then settles on me. “My dad brought your mom books about incest and shit. Devon is Reed’s daughter.”
Devon is Reed’s daughter.
My mother is my father’s daughter.
What the actual fuck?

He’s insane.
And a liar.
Mom and Dad are husband and wife, not daughter and father. That’s just gross.
“I hate you,” I hiss at Wild. “You just never know when to stop. Always making stuff up to get a rise out of us, especially me. Well, dumbass, we’re not falling for it.”
Wild rolls his eyes at me. “Fucking with you is fun, but I’m serious. Go ask your dad right now. Or is he your grandpa? Your family tree is a shitshow.”
I lunge for him, ready to give him a matching black eye, but Ronan physically holds me back. He’s never rough with me, but his hold bites into my flesh, bruising me.
“Let go of me.” I jerk from his hold and nearly fall off the bed in my escape. Ryder, forgetting about our fight, snags my arm to save me from the fall. “Let. Go. Of. Me.”
Ryder’s nostrils flare as he glares down at me but then releases me without a word. I shove past him and take Sadie’s hand.
“Go straight to Ronan’s cabin,” Ryder calls after me, voice deep and authoritative like Dad’s.
I drag Sadie out of the cabin with me, taking great pleasure in slamming the door behind me. I’m about to haul her next door when a giggle makes me freeze.
Mya.
I let go of Sadie and whirl around to the sound. Mya is sprawled out on Ryder’s hammock, smiling sweetly at me. The guys continue to talk, their voices carrying beyond the closed door.
How much did she hear?
