He lay down, putting his feet on the sheets. This was his nightmare scenario playing out in real life. Not only was he locked up, but so was his best friend, and he had no idea where his crew was or how they were doing. For all he knew, they could have been caught, too.
No, I refuse to believe that.
Roman couldn’t swallow that image. He believed in them far too much. Each of them was strong in their own respects, but together, they truly formed an unstoppable crew. This would only be a speed bump for them. It had to be. Roman needed to believe that the Rainbow’s Seven would figure it out. He had to imagine Wyatt—Salt—taking the reins where Roman had dropped them, spearheading the rescue mission. It was that hope that would keep Roman strong and centered. He needed to believe that Wyatt would be back in his arms by the week’s end.
In the meantime, though, Roman would be working on an escape plan from the inside along with a plan for after they were out. His sunset job wasn’t over, not by a long shot.
In fact, Roman felt as if the job had only just begun.
The End.
