I circle her throat with my hand but don’t squeeze.
“Keaton,” she groans. “Oh, fuck, I’m gonna come again.”
I lean down to press my lips to her ear as she begins to come apart, even harder than the last time.
“Mine,” I growl into her ear. “This, all of this, is mine.”
“Holy shit.”
“Say it.”
She licks her lips and then whispers, “Yours. Fucking yours.”
“That’s right.” I fall over the edge into paradise with her, feeling all the pieces of my life fit back together. “That’s fucking right.”
“I think I hear the pizza guy pulling in,” she says, still catching her breath. “I’m extra hungry now.”
“Makeup sex and makeup pizza? I like the sound of that. You stay there. I’ll take care of it.”
“I get pizza in bed?” The hopeful look on her gorgeous face makes me laugh. “Best day ever.”
Chapter 13
Sidney
“Why am I so nervous? I already met the man. Played with him and everything.”
“Don’t be nervous,” Keaton advises with a soft smile and wraps his arms around me from behind, watching me in the mirror. “It’s just coffee and conversation. My uncle Leo isn’t a scary guy. If you want scary, that would be Caleb, Matt—hell, even Uncle Dom has his intense moments. Leo’s harmless.”
“Have I met your uncle Dom?”
He grins and kisses my cheek. In the few days that I’ve been back, we’ve settled into this cozy routine of spending most of our free time together, making meals, watching TV, and having sex.
This morning, we worked out together. To my surprise, Keaton has a small workout area in one of the bedrooms in the back of the house that someone once used as an office. He threw a weight rack and some dumbbells in there, and it’s actually a really great space.
Of course, we ended up naked on the mat, but I just count that as part of the exercise.
“Yes,” he says, bringing me out of my sensual memory. “You met Dom at Liv’s wedding. He’s the tall Italian guy.”
“Oh, yeah, the one with the accent?”
“That’s him.”
“Why does he have an accent? No one else does.”
“He was raised in Italy.”
I turn in his arms and frown up at him. “How did that happen?”
“Well, super long story short, no one knew he existed until shortly after Liv was born. At one point, my grandma and grandpa split for a very short time. He had an affair during that split, and Dominic was the result of that. But the mom never told Grandpa about it, and after she died, Dom came looking for his father.”
“Wow, you have the most interesting family.”
“Tell me about it.” He kisses my forehead and backs away. “You ready to go?”
“I think so.” I check myself in the mirror one last time. I didn’t do much with my hair, but I did put on a little makeup. It’s rainy and chilly outside today, so I’m in jeans and a T-shirt, layered with a cute sweatshirt from my tour.
“Let’s go.” Keaton leads me out to his Bronco, and he drives me into the heart of the city. Leo invited me to coffee at Nic’s bakery, which I’ve been to a few times and always indulge in the strawberry shortcake cupcakes.
They’re heaven.
“I’m headed to Will’s to tweak his new Mustang,” Keaton says as he pulls up to the curb. “He says it sounds funny.”
“You literally just handed the keys to him.”
“It’s an older car. They’re temperamental. It’s fine. Just let me know when you want me to come get you.”
“My condo isn’t far,” I reply, shaking my head. “I’ll walk home.”
“It’s raining.”
“I know I’m sweet, but I won’t melt. I promise. I’ll call you later, okay?”
“Okay, have fun. If you change your mind, you know how to reach me.”
I grin and lean over to kiss him. “Thanks. See you later.”
I hop out of the Bronco and walk inside, the sweet smell of sugar and coffee welcoming me like a big hug.
I have one hell of a sweet tooth.
Leo’s standing at the counter, chatting with Nic, and when the bell over the door dings, they both turn to see who it is, smiling when they see me.
“There she is,” Leo says. “My lovely coffee date.”
“Hi, Sidney,” Nic says with a soft smile. “What can I get for you?”
“I’d love a coffee with cream and one of those addictive strawberry shortcake cupcakes.”
“You got it. Go ahead and grab a seat, you two. I’ll bring it out to you.”
Leo nods and gestures for me to choose a table. I love the décor in here. The floor is black-and-white tile, with little round tables and chairs with shiny red seats, just like an old-timey café.
I choose a seat by the window, and Leo sits across from me.
“I caught your performance at the Opry,” he says with a grin. “You killed it.”
“It was a lot of fun. Have you played the Opry?”
