Jen was her mother’s sister, another Northeasterner who’d moved here years ago to raise her family. Contrary to what I’d been led to believe that Thanksgiving weekend Ashley and she were nowhere near to being close. They were like night and day, the two women. One was lily soft and sweet, with the heart and body of a true siren, who innately knew how to please a man. While the other was a hard nosed businesswoman with the heart of a snake who cared only about getting ahead.
It helped that her aunt was a conniving bitch who I no longer worried about hurting, but I still worried for Ashley’s feelings. I’d seen the softness in her time and again. Thank fuck it didn’t extend to her turning her back on her feelings for me to sustain the relationship with her aunt. It would’ve been extremely awkward if they had been close, if that relationship was going to suffer. But there was no love lost there from what I’d come to learn.
In fact, it was she who had pursued while I’d retreated. She’d been so bold and forthright that I was floored to find her a virgin the first time I took her. That night when her teasing looks had become too much for me and I’d given in to my dick and gone to her bed. It hadn’t been planned; it was one of those things that just happened, that now seemed inevitable.
I’d opened the door to my condo and saw her standing there, looking uncertain, which I brushed aside. There’s been some kind of mix-up, or so I thought, until she’d come clean after the fact and fessed up to her scheme.
She’d timed it perfectly. Using the weather to carry out her plot to get me alone. I’d thought her aunt had given her wrong information that had led her to my condo in the city on a night when Jen was not expected. By the time I’d thought to send her on her way, it was too late. Memphis was in the midst of one of its many flash storms that blew up unexpectedly.
That night when she started using her wiles on me, subtly of course, I knew that the race was over. For the past week since we’d met, especially the four days she’d spent in my home with her family, we’d been circling each other like cats in heat. When she wasn’t taking peeks at me, I was ogling her out of sight of the others.
She had a certain way about her that defied even the best intentions, and once I was sure she wanted me too, it became damn near impossible to resist, though I’d tried. I’d had a hard time coming to a decision that would work for everyone, had even planned to keep my hands off of her until everything was settled, but then she showed up that night and all my good intentions were shot.
I hadn’t even noticed what she was wearing at first, having grown used to seeing her in shorter and shorter skirts or dresses when we met. I should’ve known then that she knew exactly what she was doing. When her aunt was around, she was always more demurely dressed, in tees and jeans or slacks. But whenever she was on the hunt, the skin came out.
That night under her coat, she’d worn a little halter-top dress that barely covered her knees and heeled boots that defied gravity. Her hair had been wild and free around her shoulders just the way I liked, even though I’d never shared that with her. I could remember the gloss of her lips as she stood in the hallway waiting to be let in.
Her scent when she brushed past me had hit me in the gut and I’d felt my resolve weaken. I’d offered her a hot drink and tried to put some distance between us, but she’d broken me down at every turn. Nothing too overt at first, she’d saved that for later. But the shy glances and almost innocent touches against my arm as she moved around the room were like red flags to a bull.
Chapter 4

My dick had stayed hard for the hour or so we exchanged small talk before I made my escape. And by the time I’d made it to my bed, the memory of her crossed legs and hungry eyes had done the trick. Come to think of it, I hadn’t fought all that hard coming onto the end. It seemed like I’d wanted her for weeks, instead of days, when I made my way down the hall to the spare bedroom.
“I knew you’d come.” I wondered how since our conversation hadn’t come close to intimating that tonight was the night I would fuck her. But it was too late for questions now. I was there, and there was no question what I had come for. I had a weak moment of indecision when I told myself to pretend I’d just been checking to make sure she was comfortable and then turning back for my room, but the way she spread herself on that bed, beckoning me without words, was too much temptation to resist.
