The spray of the shower washed away the evidence of my orgasm, but I couldn’t help chuckling as I leaned back against the wall of the shower. “That would never be my boy.”

It was a fun fantasy but I knew I’d have to work on it for it to feel real enough to use in a scene. But for jerk-off material, well, it would definitely be worth going over a few times to see what my favorite parts were…for science, of course.

My brain couldn’t let go of figuring out how to shift it to a fantasy that Ruslan would like, though. Even as I dried off and finished getting ready, it kept poking at different options and I ended up wondering what he’d think about my being his boss or another professor at the school.

The different ideas were still bouncing around in my head as I finally got my coffee and Malcolm’s face showed up in the window of the back door.

For fuck’s sake.

Well, at least he hadn’t rung the doorbell and chased the rest of the nosy nuts out of bed?

He glanced around as I opened the door, clearly wondering if we were alone. “Everyone else lazy?”

“About half and half. Gary is at the gym and the rest are a mixed bag of sleeping in and maybe sleeping over at someone else’s place.” I wasn’t the only one who’d been acting a bit odd about who they’d been dating lately.

“Good.” He nodded to himself as he stepped into the kitchen, not really giving me much to go on, so I went back to my coffee as I munched on a day-old donut that someone had wrapped up and put my name on.

I loved living with caretaker Doms and subs.

“Ruslan said he had Thanksgiving with you.” It was all I could think of to get the nosy Dom to start talking, and thankfully, it worked because I was on a tight schedule and he had about five minutes to lecture me on whatever was on his mind.

“Yeah, his parents are pieces of work so he spends the holidays with us.” Malcolm wanted to overshare—I could see it on his face—but he managed to stop himself for the most part. “He usually kind of mopes around the holidays and ends up spending a lot of time with us, but it seems like he was busy this weekend.”

How were my roommates more well-behaved than this?

“Yep.” Ruslan didn’t seem to have many secrets from Malcolm, so I didn’t feel bad about answering some of what his questions seemed to be about. “We spent more time together and went over limits lists. It worked out best for me to stay with him over the weekend, and I think that went pretty well.”

I was not going to tell Malcolm that Ruslan had spent the weekend caged…he’d do that himself when he overshared with Malcolm and Jack later at some point.

“I’m sure Jack will tell you all about it after they have lunch or something.” My slightly snarky remark had Malcolm grinning.

“I have lunch with him later and Jack’s going to pin him down at coffee this afternoon.” Looking pleased with himself and probably proud of me for guessing what would happen, Malcolm shrugged. “Jack has a busy morning and can’t get away from work until after lunch. So we compromised.”

I’d expected nothing less from the healthiest and nosiest couple that I knew.

“But if you set some boundaries now, I’ll know what not to ask later.” Malcolm looked slightly curious but I could sense his Dom side rising to the surface. “I don’t want my friendship with Ruslan to fuck things up with you.”

It was sweet but unnecessary.

So as I finished up my coffee, I headed over to the sink to rinse out the mug and stuck it in the dishwasher. “I’m good. You can talk to him about whatever he wants to discuss. I’m the oversharer between us, so I can’t think of anything I’d be uncomfortable with you talking about.”

Malcolm chuckled, not surprised at all. “Yeah, I kind of thought that would be your answer, but I didn’t want to assume. I know this is new for you guys.”

“New but steady, I think, so I’m not worried about what he’ll share.” I was hoping talking it out would help Ruslan figure out how to be comfortable with dating me publicly, but I wasn’t going to hold my breath on that one.

“Alright then.” Shifting toward the door, he went back to nodding to himself like he was going over the checklist in his head of what he’d needed to touch base with me about. “And you’ll let me know if you need to talk anything out? I know you’re not used to dating someone who’s still working through stuff.”

“I’m good so far.” Leaning back against the sink, I decided to open up a bit more so he didn’t spend all day worrying. “If we’re still in the same place in a few months then I might need to talk things out, but I don’t think that’ll be the case.”
