“Sure do, Chief!” Boyd nodded, grinning. “But what about you?” he added. “Wasn’t you gonna breed that out of towner? The one that mouthed off at us?”
I felt my blood run cold—I had been hoping they had all forgotten about me! But now I saw that I had only been put off—saved until the last, as it were.
“Oh, I’m gonna breed her all right.” McCain’s narrow eyes gleamed. “Gonna pump about a gallon of cum in her tight little pussy!” He looked around and I shrank back against the tree trunk, praying that the leaves were hiding me. “She’s around here somewhere,” he told Boyd. “Soon as I Shift to my Fur Form, I’m gonna find her. Then I’m gonna mount that little bitch and plow her good. She’ll be pregnant with my baby the next time you see her—you just drive these girls back home now.”
“Yes, Chief.” Boyd nodded. “C’mon, y’all,” he added to the women who were gathered around him like a flock of soon-to-be-pregnant geese. “It’s time we got goin’.”
His words sent a chill down my spine—I was about to be left all alone with the man who had killed my father!
FOUR
Deputy Boyd and the freshly bred women left the clearing and the remaining Werewolves loped off into the woods as well. Presumably they were going to spend the night out under the moon and come back in the morning.
Which left me all alone with only McCain for company—not that he knew where I was, I thought, feeling hopeful. He didn’t seem to have seen me and I wasn’t going to do anything to give my position away. The rough bark of the tree was hurting the soles of my feet and scratching my hip and the side of my right breast and my right arm, which was gripping the trunk, but I wasn’t going to move a muscle—wasn’t going to even breathe until McCain gave up and went home.
Raising his head, McCain looked around the now-empty clearing.
“I know you’re around here, girly,” he called, an ugly grin creasing his leathery face. “And as soon as I Shift, I’m gonna find you. Gonna track you down and mount you and knot you nice and deep. Gonna claim what’s mine tonight!”
My heart felt like it was pounding in my throat as I watched him take off his uniform, fold it neatly and leave it on a nearby stump. He was powerfully built, despite the beer belly, with a wiry thatch of gray pubic hair that matched the salt and pepper hair on his head.
Should I stay? Should I run? I didn’t know what was safer. I hated being so close to McCain, but once he shifted into his Fur Form, there was no way I could outrun him. I reluctantly decided that it might be safest just to stay right where I was and hope he didn’t notice me. Maybe if I was as quiet as a mouse, he would just pass right by and then, in the morning, I could climb down from the tree and try to find my way back to my rental car.
How I was going to manage that, I had no idea. The car was miles away in a direction I didn’t know, but I had to have some kind of plan and that was the best I could come up with at the moment. So I remained in the tree, watching in silent horror as Chief McCain shifted into an enormous grayish-black Werewolf.
I could see at once why he was the pack leader. His wolf was bigger than any of the others I had yet seen—the size of a large stallion at least. And the dark red shaft that was protruding from the furry pouch between his back legs was as thick as my arm. I didn’t want to speculate on how big the knot would be, if it emerged—it was better not to ever find out, I told myself.
I held perfectly still, not even daring to breathe as the enormous wolf lifted its snout and began sniffing the air. Then he dropped his pointed nose to the ground and began sniffing the trampled grass.
I began to have hope—how could he possibly catch my scent when it was mixed with so many others? There had been multiple Werewolves and girls all over the clearing that night, fucking and breeding and knotting—there was no way he would be able to pick out my particular scent.
The thought had me feeling confident—so much so that I was already planning what to do after I got down from the tree. I was thinking that maybe I could pull off some branches to cover myself so I could try to hitch a ride back to the outskirts of town when the enormous wolf suddenly put his snout in the air and howled.
