“Ian?” Charlie was looking up at him, tears in her gorgeous eyes.
Or he could simply beat the shit out of Adam.
“Baby,” he began.
“It’s perfect.” She nodded and threw herself into his arms. “It’s so perfect. It’s the most beautiful name in the world.”
He pulled her close, his rate tripling the minute she was in his arms. “I thought you’d be pissed.”
Charlie shook her head. “I totally lied. I told you Kenzie was a family name. I named her after a character on a sci fi TV show. She was beautiful and always had great shoes.”
He grinned and chuckled. “Like you, baby.”
“I want to fuck you right now. Do you have any idea how hot you are?” Charlie whispered.
A collective groan went through the room. Ian did not care that he’d likely fucked his wife more times at the office than anyone could count. It was his damn office and she was his wife, and he would take care of her wherever he wanted to.
He put his hands on her glorious ass and hauled her up. Her legs went around his waist and squeezed. “You’re the hot one.”
He kissed her long and hard, his body already ready.
“Get a room, guys,” Jesse called out.
Luckily, he had a room. His office was the perfect place to spend an afternoon. His wife was the only person he wanted to spend it with. The girls were tucked away in the day care center and he could forget for a little while. He could forget everything but her.
He shot Adam the finger as he moved toward the fridge. He hadn’t forgotten. A man needed fuel to properly take care of his sub. “Alex, could you pass me that tart?”
Alex shook his head as he gave Ian the small bag from Top.
“Damn it,” Adam said. “One of these days, Ian.”
He grinned at his brother. “Not today.”
Today he would get what he needed. A little sugar. A little tart.
A whole lot of love.

Make Lemonade
Make Lemonade takes place between Submission is Not Enough and Perfectly Paired.
“I smell something good.”
Ian looked over from the stove as his gorgeous wife waddled in. There was no other way to describe it. Charlie waddled like a cute penguin, if said penguin had swallowed what looked like a ten-pound basketball. Not that he would tell her that. He was a man who had learned how to handle his woman. If she asked, he could barely tell she was pregnant. He had to remind himself sometimes, he would tell her.
Of course, he could tell her the truth. She was stunningly beautiful when she was pregnant. He loved her every curve and the way her breasts looked when she was carrying his child.
But he’d discovered that depending on the amount of hormones flowing through her, that could go either way, so he stuck with the “can’t even tell” plan.
“I thought you might like breakfast in bed,” he said before flipping the pancake over the way Sean had taught him.
What he thought was that she should stay in bed and rest, but he wasn’t going to mention that either. Charlie was two weeks away from delivery, and she got weepy at almost everything. He just wanted to make her smile.
This pregnancy had been harder on her than the twins. She’d breezed through Kenzie and Kala, but she’d struggled with serious morning sickness this time around. It lasted far longer than the first time around. She blamed it on all men, since according to all the sonograms, she was carrying his son.
Charlie made her way to the two highchairs that sat side by side. His girls were sitting together, happily munching on their pancakes. Kala was using her fork and carefully picking up the small squares he’d made of the pancakes. Kenzie’s fork was on the floor, but it didn’t matter to his baby girl. She shoved that food in after mashing it with her delicate fingers.
Kala was careful. Kenzie was vibrant and bright. He wasn’t sure how they’d managed it, but somehow the twins had mirrored their parents’ personalities.
One day Kala would be a deadly assassin. Kenzie likely would be, too, but she would do it all with a sunny smile on her face.
“I wanted to walk a bit,” Charlie said as she leaned over to kiss Kala’s head. “My lower back is tight.”
This was the part he hated. He loved her being pregnant, adored putting his hand on her belly and feeling their child moving underneath. He loved the way she would cuddle against him, and that amazing second trimester when she couldn’t get enough sex.
He hated the part where she was in pain and he couldn’t take it for her.
“After breakfast, I’ll rub it for you. I’ve got a bit of time before I have to be at the office.” He would wait on her hand and foot for the next several weeks. This was his last week at the office for a while. He’d cleared his schedule at work so he could take a few weeks paternity leave. He would clean and cook and take care of the girls so Charlie could focus on their son and bonding and healing.
