“Irrelevant,” I say with a shrug.

“That dirty little mouth of yours,” he says as he comes over and sits on the side of the hot tub. “Talking about my big hard cock whenever I’m fucking you?”

I can feel my cheeks blushing as I stare him down. “Once again, irrelevant.”

He hands me the drink but takes it away when I try to grab it. “And you haven’t done any funny business, huh? Fucking your stepbrother is not considered funny business?”

“The rules were for you,” I say with a playful glare. “Not for me.”

He laughs. “Oh, how convenient. Well, my rules are for you. And rule number one is…”

“No bikini tops in the hot tub.”

He smiles with a nod. “So, if you don’t mind…”

I grin as I slowly take my top off, loving the way his eyes get all big and bulgy as he watches. I give him a sexy look as I peel it off my breasts in an erotic show. With my eyes locked on him, I drop the top on the ground as my breasts float free.

“That’s better,” he says as he hands me the drink for real this time.

I smile while I take a sip.

His eyes are on my naked breasts as he climbs into the hot tub with me. I can tell what’s on his mind and I’m getting all tingly down there knowing what’s coming.

It’s been two weeks since our first night together and it’s been the best fourteen days of my life. I could happily stay in this beach house with this man for the rest of my days and never get bored. His body is a wonderland and I can’t get enough of it.

“What do you want to do now?” he asks with his eyes on my chest.

“I know what you want to do,” I say with a laugh. “By the way, my eyes are up here.”

“If you wanted me to look in your eyes, you shouldn’t have taken your top off.”

I laugh as I splash him. I love the guy, but he’s still a prick.

Just as we’re about to come together and do all of the dirty things on both of our minds, the sound of a helicopter cuts through the beautiful summer day.

“Is that… coming here?” I ask as I cover my breasts and look up at the sky.

“Shit!” he says as he lunges out of the hot tub and grabs my top. “Put this back on.”

“Never thought I’d hear you say that,” I say as I quickly shove it over my head.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures,” he says as he watches the helicopter come swooping over the house. It hovers over the backyard and then slowly lowers onto the grass, whipping warm air at us.

My stomach drops when I see my dad and Debra rush out, their hair flying all over the place.

“We’re back!” my dad says as he comes over and kisses my cheeks.

“That was a nightmare,” Debra says as she kisses Ollie’s cheek and then hugs me. “We finally got the lab cleaned up and all the regulations back in place.”

They wave at the helicopter pilot as he lifts back into the air and flies away.

Silence, except for the pounding of my heart in my ears.

This is so bad. We’ve been living in a fairytale land over these past two weeks and we haven’t really discussed what to do about our parents. How to tell them. What to say.

Maybe we can write down our thoughts and get a family therapist to come to the house while we explain our feelings to our parents. That way we can—

“Becca and I fell in love while you two were out,” Ollie blurts out.

Or, we can do it that way.

“What?” Debra says with a shocked look on her face. “Is this a joke?”

My father just stares in confusion.

“I know we’re related now,” Ollie says in a firm authoritative tone. “I know you two are married. It’s not ideal, and we realize that. But the truth is, we’re soul mates. We’re meant to be together. We’re not related by blood, so we haven’t done anything wrong. I’m sorry if this freaks you out, but we’re together, you’re together, and we’re just going to all have to make it work.”

After a few seconds of awkward silence (I’m dying inside the entire time), my father turns to me. “Is this true?”

I can feel my cheeks burning red. “It is, Dad. We love each other.”

“But you’re step-siblings!”

“Who just met,” I remind him. “Imagine if Ollie and I got married before you met Debra. Would that have held you back from being with the woman you were meant to be with? From your soul mate?”

He looks at his new bride and I can feel the love flowing off him. “Not a chance,” he says. “Nothing would have kept me from her.”
