“Oh God, you should’ve knocked harder.” I start to pant. This man has the ability to make my body go from zero to a hundred in no time. “The tub is big enough for two.”

He groans, the weight of him leaving me completely, and I glare up at him as he stands, adjusting a very eager erection in his shorts. His hand clasps mine as he pulls me from the bed. I glare at him the way any sane woman would.

He presses his mouth to mine, pulling back when I try to deepen the kiss.

What the hell is wrong with him?

He presses his thumb to my bottom lip but pulls it away when I try to bite it.

“Be good today, and we can try that tonight.”

“You want me to bite your dick?”

“Not bite, but a little teeth sounds like fun.”

My core clenches around nothing.

“Let’s go. We don’t want to be late,” he says, urging me toward the door.

***

“Absolutely not,” I hiss as he pulls his sleek car in front of a huge house.

“You’re going to have a blast.” His words are sincere, but this isn’t happening.

“You said it wasn’t a big family event.”

“I said it wasn’t a wedding.”

“There are over thirty cars parked on the street.”

He points to a pickup. “That belongs to the neighbor.”

“And all the others?”

He shrugs.

“What kind of function is this?” I ask, looking up at the massive home.

I’m no stranger to big houses, that’s not the issue. My family has money. I was raised in a home similar to this. I know how nice they are on the outside and how cold they are on the inside. I know how many secrets those pretty doors can lock away.

“It’s Lala’s birthday.”

“What’s a lala?”

“Lala is my grandmother on my father’s side. She’s turning ninety.”

My eyes widen. “You brought your fuck buddy to your grandmother’s party? Are you insane?”

He smiles that devious one he gave me right before he put his mouth on my pussy the very first time.

“Being here isn’t the insane part, but you have to play along.”

I’m shaking my head already.

“You grew up in a wealthy family, Leighton. You know how things can be. You know what expectations are like. I’m thirty-three, unmarried, unattached with no prospects on the horizon.”

“Oh God,” I mutter, already getting an idea of where this is going. “Please don’t even say it.”

“We’ve been dating for a couple of months. That’s new enough that—”

“You want me to lie to a ninety-year-old woman? Gaige, no.”

“Her birthday isn’t until Tuesday.”

I narrow my eyes at him as if the clarification makes any difference. “A couple of months isn’t long enough for them to ask questions about marriage, so we’ll be safe on that front.”

“Them?”

“My entire family will be there.”

“Your dad’s side.”

He shakes his head. “My entire family. Both sides are very close.”

My palms start to sweat, and I wipe them down the front of my dress.

He clasps them both in my hands.

“You’re a professional, Leighton. Make it through this, and I’ll eat your pussy for hours.”

“That entire thing makes me sound like a fucking hooker, Gaige.”

“I don’t—” He sighs. “I don’t mean for it to. Please do this for me. You’re good with people. You’ll be fine. Come on.”

He climbs out of the car, and I give in, waiting until he comes around to open my door because if anyone is watching from the house, it’s what would be expected. He brushes his mouth on my cheek, a whispered thank you on his lips, and I wait as he pulls a professionally wrapped gift from the trunk of his car.

As he bends down, a smiling man approaches, his eyes appraising, his mouth held in a familiar cocky grin.

“Hi,” he says as he walks closer.

Gaige straightens, frowning when he sees the man.

“Tyler,” he mutters, smacking him on the back of the head before he can reach for me.

They do that bro clap hug thing guys do that shows affection while maintaining their masculinity.

“This is Leighton Redmond, my… friend.”

Seems we’re not lying to his brother.

“Hello, Gaige’s friend.”

It’s like that’s all the permission Gaige’s younger brother needs to step closer and wrap me in a hug. He smells amazing, but the lift and twirl is a little over the top. I play along, knowing from the playful wink Tyler gave me right before he touched me that he’s purposely trying to rile his brother up.

I squeeze him hard, pressing my face into his throat.

“Wow,” I praise. “You’re so strong.”

“You smell amazing,” Tyler says, his nose also in my neck.

I bite my lip to keep from laughing when I see Gaige’s angry face.

Today may just be me satisfying my half of the deal we made, but the man definitely doesn’t like seeing me in his brother’s arms. I file that away for later as Tyler sets me back on my feet.
