“I’m not sure I should go with him.”
Kate gives me an apologetic expression. “Not really asking, Lev. I pulled you in to ask if you had something to wear or see about making a call.” Kate checks the fancy gold watch on her wrist. “This is all last minute.”
“I’ll go; I’m just not sure I’m a good fit. As you have already predicted, I don’t think I have anything to wear. That's not my scene. I was at a wedding the other day, and the forks confused me,” I admit. I don’t want to embarrass myself, Eros, or the company.
“You made Eros smitten with you. I think you’ll be more than fine.”
I feel a surge of heat rising up my cheeks. I have never been much of a blusher before Eros entered my life. The man has truly taken control of my body.
“I, uh—” What do I say to that?
“Right.” Kate smirks. “So I’ll see about getting a few things brought over. I’ll have them delivered upstairs and let you know when they have arrived.”
“Thanks.” I think. “Anything else?” I stand.
“I wasn’t teasing, Lev. Eros is smitten with you. Be yourself, and you’ll be just fine.”
“Thanks,” I say again, not agreeing.
When I leave her office, I notice the bullpen has cleared out. My eyes go straight for Eros’s door. I tell myself not to do it, but my legs have a mind of their own, and before I know it, I’m already heading for his office. I miss him. Plus, did he tell Kate to order me to go with him tonight, or does he really need me there?
I step into his office. Eros is behind his desk, his attention on the computer screen. I shut the door behind me, leaning up against it. When it clicks closed, he lifts his head. The second he spots me, a smile spreads across his face.
“Miss me?”
"Always." A loud click echoes from the door. “The lock.”
"I shouldn't be surprised that you can lock the door from over there." I make my way toward him. “I’m surprised to learn you missed me.”
Eros pushes his chair back from his desk. “I’m giving you what you asked for.” When I come around his desk, he leans up, snagging me around my waist, lifting me off my feet to place me right in his lap.
“Whoa.” I laugh, resting my hands on his shoulders, straddling him. “You always surprise me by how fast you can move.”
“I’ve got motivation.” He slips his hand up the back of my shirt. “You’re so damn soft. Like rose petals.” Eros runs his fingers up and down my back.
“Don’t distract me.”
“New rules. I’ll keep my distance out there but not in here. You’ve been warned.” I am unable to respond because Eros covers my mouth with his, preventing me from doing so. However, I had no intention of stopping him. I kind of love the new rule.

EROS
“Fuck.” I turn off the cold water. It hasn’t done shit for my cock. I have jerked off twice today, and it does nothing to cut the edge I’m riding on. I would love to believe that once I'm inside Lev, it will help, but with her, I always find myself sinking deeper. The more I have, the more I need. It’s a never-ending cycle.
I grab a towel to dry off. I shake my head, smiling as I notice all of Lev's makeup and various other bottles scattered on one side of the bathroom counter. Last night she put it all neatly away, but now it looks as though a makeup bomb has gone off. I can’t help but love that she is integrating herself into my life. Making my space her own.
Lev had come up to try on some clothes and get ready earlier. I left the office shortly after her. Instead of going directly home, I went to the gym to try and burn off some energy before taking a shower.
In my closet, I grab my normal button-up dress shirt and slacks. I roll the sleeves up a bit and keep a free button loose at the top to make it not so formal-looking. No matter how long I spend in the business world, I never grow accustomed to the suits. I hate the stuffiness of them.
When I’m dressed, I go in search of my woman. I didn't want to leave her tonight, so I had to decide whether to cancel or take her with me. It was only a dinner with the Caldwell brothers, and I knew they were bringing women. They always bring new women with them. That’s not my thing, but it’s also not my business. To each their own.
Now what is my business is them wanting to buy ClickIt. I occasionally receive offers from other companies, but none have captivated me enough to warrant a deeper consideration. However, the Caldwell brothers have brought me a significant amount of business, and at one point, their conversation inspired me to create another app that is currently performing exceptionally well. You never know when and where inspiration might come from.
