Erik returned my smile with one of his own. “That’s okay. I’ll have Alexandra do it.”

“Are you sure? I can wait on lunch.”

“That’s okay. Thank you, Laura.”

Erik went back into his office and Laura gave me a concerned look. “If it’s too much, just wait for me and I’ll help you.”

“I’m sure I’ll be fine making a few copies.”

Another concerned look and then she grabbed her purse and left.

Erik strolled out with a box filled with papers and dropped it with a thud on the desk. “I need five sets of copies.”

My jaw dropped and I stared at the chunk of white papers spilling out. “Are you kidding me?”

“Afraid not,” he answered, his tone bored.

“That’s going to take me forever.”

“Better get started then.”

He waited until I looked up before giving me a wink and heading back into his office, whistling. Before he closed the door, he poked his head out. “And bring me a coffee when you’re done.”

The door closed before I could growl what an asshole he was.

Taking a deep breath, I calmed myself before grabbing the box and heading to the copier room.

It went quicker than I’d thought once I found my rhythm. After about forty minutes, I was back at the desk with coffee and files in hand.

The door was cracked and I didn’t hear anyone talking in Erik’s office so I pushed the door open, looking down to make sure the coffee didn’t spill as I slid the door back closed. I’d taken one step into the office when I looked up and froze, staring wide-eyed at the scene on the couch.

The coffee almost slid out of my numb fingers.

Erik sat with his legs spread wide, his head tossed back and his eyes closed. A woman knelt in front of him, her red hair swaying as she bobbed up and down over his crotch.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Every muscle in my body stiffened and chaos reigned inside me. A voice screamed to run—to get the fuck out of there before anyone noticed I’d come in. I needed to look away. Why couldn’t I look away? This was worse than him pleasuring a woman, this was so much more intimate.

A muffled moan came from the woman and it snapped me out of my trance. I went to take a step back when all of sudden Erik’s head lifted and his eyes opened, landing right on me. His hand buried into the woman’s hair and he fucking winked at me. Winked.

He was doing it on purpose. He’d planned for me to walk in on him getting a blow job and I wanted to storm over there and punch him in his stupid face. Pressure beat down on my chest and my cheeks lit on fire. He was an asshole and in that moment, I hated him.

I went to step back to leave the room when his mouth parted and a groan ripped from his chest. His hips thrust up and he bit down on his lip, his eyes sliding closed for a moment as he came.

Finally, I was able to look away and turned to leave.

“Stay.” My body froze again—as if his words alone commanded me—and looked over my shoulder.

The woman shifted to see me and giggled. “Are we having a threesome, Erik?”

My lip curled in disgust. “I’m leaving.”

“No, Chloe was just leaving.”

“What?” The woman sat back unblocking Erik’s crotch where his softening dick was laying stark against the black of his slacks. My eyes widened and my thighs squeezed involuntarily. I’d never seen a penis before. At least not one outside of pictures. I hated that the sight had a heat burning from my core. I hated that I stared at all.

Erik breathed a deep laugh before tucking himself back in his pants, a knowing smile on his arrogant face.

“Yes. I’m sorry, but work calls,” he told the woman—Chloe. “Thank you for our lunch break.”

She blinked like she was trying to process the fact that she’d just sucked him off and now he was so coldly dismissing her.

“Can we finish this later?” she asked, dragging her hand up his thigh.

His smile was fake. “I will try.”

I scoffed, loud enough for them both to hear.

“Problem, Alexandra?” Erik asked, victory pouring off him.

His smug smile begged for me to take him down a peg. This was one too many times for me to not lose my temper. “He won’t call, Chloe. He finds being a dick to me and flaunting his sexual activities as funny. You were a means to an end.” His smile slipped. “I know what you’re doing Erik. Acting out because I kissed someone else?” I tsked. “So childish. Now who’s naïve?”

“Obviously I need to talk to my intern,” he growled at me over Chloe’s head. “Pay her no mind, Chloe. I assure you, I enjoyed our lunch.” She turned to look up at Erik, completely ignoring me in the room. He brushed her hair back but met my eyes. “Very much.”
