Then I got up and hoofed it out of that stadium, the sound of flesh hitting flesh and the crowd cheering them on ringing in my ears as I left.

TEN

BISHOP

Cash whooped beside me as the prizefighter he was backing landed an uppercut, but my attention was on Luna.

My blood was pumping from the fight and the crowd. And I wasn’t happy to see her standing up and heading after Tank out of the arena.

I’d brought us all here an entire day early for this. I wanted to fuck Luna tonight with both of us having just witnessed the blood sport. It was the same primal energy that had been celebrated since the gladiators, and long before.

So I stalked after the both of them, waving off the security guard we’d hired for the fight. He could stay and watch over Cash.

Tank was a big bastard with long legs, though. And Luna scrambled into a jog to catch up with him while all around us the crowd roared in response to the fight. Which I was fucking missing because of Tank’s bullshit.

Usually it was Mason or Cash irritating the fuck out of me. For Tank to let me down on a night like tonight, and after I’d let him feed his cock into Luna’s mouth last night—

Tank shoved through the doors into one of the outer underground lobbies that circled the arena. Luna was on his heels. About ten seconds later, I shoved through the doors to find Tank doubled over, and Luna with her hand on his shoulder, obviously comforting him.

What a sweet scene. I rolled my eyes.

Besides them, the underground area was empty. Because every sane person was inside, watching the fight.

“We’re missing the match,” I said loudly.

Luna’s head popped up and her eyes were accusing. She shook her head at me.

I felt the dark spark inside that always hit when she openly disagreed with me. And the fact that she was trying to be so subtle about it, to be considerate of Tank’s feelings…oh, I could simply write a greeting card about it.

“Tank,” I barked.

He straightened immediately.

“Fuck off.”

He nodded and turned, striding towards what I assumed was an exit.

“No, Tank—” Luna started, but I reached for her arm. She jerked it away but stopped, turning towards me with furious eyes. “Why do you always have to be such an asshole?”

“You like that I’m an asshole. It turns you on.” I stepped into her space and didn’t miss the way her pupils dilated at the move.

She sucked in a breath, eyes flicking back and forth between mine like she couldn’t decide whether to be turned on or keep being pissed. “Sometimes people need to talk about their feelings.”

I reached around and grabbed her ass, pulling her tight against where I was hard for her. “And sometimes they need to be alone and not have the woman they just had their dick in see them cry.”

She huffed. “How do you know that?”

I narrowed my eyebrows. “I know. I also know you need to get your ass back in that arena. And on my lap.”

“You’re out of your damn mind.” She shook her head, smiling in disbelief. “I’m not just announcing whatever this,” she moved a hand between her chest and mine, “is by sitting on your lap in front of a room full of celebrities and cameras.”

I squeezed her ass harder. “You’ll do what I say you’ll do.”

She arched an eyebrow. “That’s only in the bedroom.”

“I plan to fuck you lots of places, Pet. Not just the bedroom.”

I nudged my dick between her legs. “I’m making you wet.” I leaned in and sniffed. “I can smell it.”

I smiled at the squeak that came out of her throat at that and dragged her ass against me hard, dry fucking her in the open air.

A whistle pierced the empty lobby around us, echoing down the large underground tunnel that circled the floor seats of the arena.

I jerked my head up from Luna’s neck.

Only to find a couple fucking assholes with their faces painted green laughing and making crude gestures at my woman.

One had a beer in his hand and it was clear he’d started drinking long before the match had started. The other one, who looked perfectly sober, said, “Well, tell us how much and we’ll wait so we can have a turn,” and started to unbuckle his belt.

Well, that was that.

I let go of Luna and spun towards the dickhead.

“Wait—” Luna started, but my fist was already swinging. All my frustration with Tank and adrenaline from the fight fed my rage.

The darkness roared at being set free.

Let there be blood.

ELEVEN

LUNA

Holy shit, one second I’d been swept up in Bishop’s arms, and the next…

He was going absolutely apeshit on the guy who’d made a dumbass comment. But I was female and a public figure. Dumbass, ignorant comments were what was shouted at me online and in person on the street day in, day out.
