And what she felt coming from Dark was gratitude, happiness…and love. So much love that Lili thought she might drown in it—though she would certainly die a happy death.

“Is that what this feeling is?” the Dark Twin sent back. “The feeling that I never want to be without you, that I want to protect you and keep you safe and share you with Light for the rest of my life?”
Lili laughed through her tears, because somehow she was crying now—crying from sheer happiness.
“Yes,” she said out loud and threw her arms around his neck. “Yes, Dark—that’s love. I love you both, so much.”
Light’s arms encircled her from behind and then both of the big Kindred were hugging her tightly, making her the filling in a happiness sandwich.
“We love you too, Lilibet,” the Light Twin sent to her. “And now that we’re Bonded and Dark’s block is gone, we’ll never have to be apart again.”
Lili felt a burst of joy as she realized he was right. The barriers between them were gone and her guys were back where they belonged—at her side. And it all felt incredibly right. Deep down, she had known from that first moment when she’d run up to them and begged them to shelter her from her attacker, that they were meant to be together.
