There are many more that I flip through, but it’s the last one that makes tears stream down my face.
March 31st: Although, I thought I knew the answer, my hands shook until you said yes. It’s the picture Addison took of us when he asked me to marry him. Well, technically he didn’t ask, and he never really had to because I was his from the first moment he smiled at me from that platform.
“So does it show you how much you mean to me?” he whispers, bending down behind me and kissing the top of my head.
He walks around and I have to just throw myself in his arms. “Yes, it does. I can’t believe you did this. I love you so much, Emmitt!”
“There are more pages to fill.”
“Good, because I can’t wait for the memories we build together.”
“That we will.”
“Wait, how did you get this here so quickly. We were together all night.”
“I am a photographer. I printed the picture and finished the project while my dad gave you a quick tour of the house.”
“That’s why you didn’t mind that he did it.”
“Well, I minded, but I wanted the surprise to be ready.”
“You are amazing.” We’re kissing when I remember what his father said. I break away from his lips and ask, “Wait. Was your dad serious about us marrying at the mansion or was that just a ruse?”
“Of course he’s serious. And he insisted on paying for the wedding. I’ve already tried to talk him out of it, but the man’s just as determined, and laser focused as Tanner.”
“I’m so damn lucky Addison dragged me out of bed that day.”
“So am I. So am I.”

Eight months later
She lays in bed, looking absolutely ravishing with her belly protruding out of her robe. She’s wearing a maternity nightgown made of silk. We were about to start fucking when I heard a pop, so she looks just as sultry as she did in our bed.
I wanted to lick every inch of her, and I still do, but this isn’t about me getting my rocks off. She’s getting examined. It seems our babies aren’t patient enough to wait for their due date in another two weeks when we’d be ready to have these little ones, but nope. She’s in the middle of bringing my little guys into the world at the local hospital near my stepdad’s home during a snowstorm. I’m on pins and needles, waiting for them to be done examining her.
“Okay, it looks like you’re fully dilated, Mrs. Jacobs. We’re going to get you ready to push as soon as the doctor gets in here. Let’s get you prepped.” They move around and I help her lift her robe out from under her. We quickly change her into a hospital gown and then I take her hand as the doctor steps through the door.
What feels like a million contractions later, my Venus brings our sons into this world. I can’t stop the pounding in my chest as I stare at my boys and then back at their wonderful mother. I have to kiss her now that she isn’t telling me that I’m a bad man for doing this to her.
“Thank you, Venus.” I hold my little guy in one arm while Madison is given the other little one. Addison comes in just then and snaps many pictures for us before giving each of us a hug and kiss and running out again.
We moved into our new house last week with our two boys. I wanted a place near my father so that he could be near the kids. We even bought her parents a small house around the same area. It’s a big ass happy family. “Let’s lay the boys down.”
“Okay, Dad. Thanks for stopping by to make sure we’re settling in.”
“You know it’s just an excuse to see the babies. They’re getting big. It’s only been two weeks, but they’re growing fast. I remember Tanner as a baby. It seemed like such a pain in the ass when it came to diapers and midnight feedings, but the time flew by so fast and well, I never had a baby again. Even though I gained another son much later.”
“Thanks, Dad. It really means a lot to me that you’re a part of their lives.”
“And I will be. Although, I’ve got to get going. I’ve got a surprise I’m working on for Tanner.”
“You know how he hates surprises.”
“I think he’s going to love this one.”
“Okay.”
He kisses the boys on the forehead before giving me a hug. “You’re a good man and going to make a fantastic father.”
“I couldn’t agree with you more.” My beautiful wife stands at the bedroom door. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and waves goodbye.
I slide my arms around her waist and look down at my exhausted queen. “You were supposed to be napping.”
