Sure, I've felt like I've been missing something… but is yielding to three alpha males really what I need?
"Listen,” she says. "I know you're scared. I was, too. But trust me, it feels good to not have to be in control of everything. You've been taking care of yourself for a long time, and maybe now the lesson is to let someone else take care of you. You don't have to do it all alone."
I consider her words, and suddenly, it's all making sense. There's freedom in knowing that no matter what, I'll be secure.
But still, that takes a certain level of trust, and I'm just not sure I'm there yet.
"Thanks, Lily, this talk really was helpful. I hope things are going great with Sebastian, and I hope to see you guys soon."
"No problem, Nicole. I'm excited to see how this turns out for you."
We hang up, and I watch the rainfall along the city streets. People are running and ducking for cover. I'm glad I'm in here and not out there.
But still, inside my soul, it feels like a torrential downpour is going on, so intense are my emotions.
I wonder what I'll do with myself for the rest of the night.
Maybe I'll just curl up with a good book and call it an early evening.
Try to clear my mind.
Try to keep the three men out of it.
Nicole
Just as I'm beginning to doze off in my favorite chair with the background noise of gentle rain, my phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Nicole, it's Cameron. Chase, Adam, and I want to take you out tonight."
"You do?"
I wasn't expecting to do anything other than rest, stay out of the rain, and think about my situation. Now my situation is coming for me. Each day, the prospect of surrendering completely to these guys becomes more daunting—and yet also more appealing.
I wonder what they have planned for me tonight?
"Do you want me to dress up?" I asked.
"Of course," Cameron says. "We love to see you all dolled up. Choose any dress you like, but make it a good one. You know what I mean. And you are not to wear a bra or panties."
His commanding tone makes me feel wet already. The idea of spending the night with all three of them makes electricity go off in my body. My stomach is tensem and my nerves on high alert.
Is it lust? Definitely.
Is it love? Probably not.
It's just hard to gain composure when three strong billionaires are after you.
"Okay Cameron, I can do that. Where shall I meet you?"
"Meet us? No, we're sending a car."
And just quickly as he was there, suddenly he's gone. I put down my phone and go to my closet, which is slowly taking over my whole apartment.
I now have too many clothes, thanks to Cameron. I've improvised and built clothing racks where there's room, but that's the thing about studios—not much closet space. It’s so small, my entire apartment could fit three times over in Cameron's office.
I run my finger along the new outfits I just bought. It's about all I spend my paycheck on. I compare them to the pile of clothes from Cameron, and I just can’t bring myself to that point yet. I don’t know if it’s their price, or how risqué they all are in some way, or some combination of the two.
I pick out a dusty rose velvet dress. It will look awesome without underwear.
I light some candles on my vanity and sit down to apply my makeup. Tonight, I have to look perfect. Who knows where they're gonna take me? Probably some upscale place that I've never been to and that I could never gain access to on my own.
I line my lips with a pink shade that matches my dress. A little blush and dramatic eyes. I put on some diamond drop earrings—fake, of course. The look is complete.
I slide on my black ballet flats and pull a shawl over my shoulders to protect me against the rain. Grabbing my keys, I take one last look at my little studio, my home, where I feel most comfortable, and I get ready to meet with the lions.
Walking out the lobby door, I'm surprised to see the driver waiting for me already. They've sent a town car. The driver is there to help me out of the rain and soon, I'm in the car, and my heart is beating faster than usual.
He drives through the city, and I take in the vibrant energy and the views that I will never tire of. To my surprise, we go all the way to the outskirts of town.
This can't be where we're going. This isn't dinner. Where is he taking me?
We pull up to a large iron gate, and the driver presses in a few digits to make it swing open. The car makes its way down a sleek long driveway that leads to what can only be described as an estate.
