Everything happened so fast I couldn’t even grab him, and he landed in a heap on the floor. “Can I pick out any color?”
Clearly, he wasn’t hurt.
“How big is your mouth, Daddy?” His head popped up before we could do more than shift to the side of the bed.
How big was his mouth?
That was a good question if he was going to get a new ball.
Kenton decided to be helpful. “I’ll go look for a ruler.”
Very helpful.
And why was no one wearing enough clothes?
Fuck.
I wasn’t wearing enough clothes.
It was going to be a long morning.

“You look like you’ve been through a hurricane.” Bishop leaned his head against my shoulder, his quiet voice making me smile. “I think you need a nap too.”
I’d have snorted, but that might’ve woken up Ian, who’d crashed on the floor as soon as he’d sat down with the new toys for Bishop’s pup. He’d spent about thirty seconds looking at the ball like it was the best thing ever, and then one yawn later, he’d stretched out and was down for the count.
I couldn’t decide if joining him would fuck up my sleep schedule or not, so I’d just been relaxing.
Bishop, on the other hand, was twitchy and ready to let his pup out…or maybe break out into a song about frustration and patience like we were in some kind of weird Disney musical.
Cuddling into me, he kissed my cheek instead. “He picked out toys for me.”
I wasn’t sure where he was going with this, so I nodded and kept it simple. “He’s excited. Hell, everyone was excited.”
I’d almost had to toss the subs out of Ian’s apartment. They’d all wanted to play with the pup, and Ian had been too sweet to say no. Luckily, Uncle Cohen could say no very well. They’d pouted, but I knew my pup and our cutie needed this first time together without an audience.
I also wasn’t sure who Ian had shown his little side to, but I thought it would go much more smoothly if they were little and pup, not lovers or Daddy and boy or worrying about what everyone else was thinking for this first time.
Bishop giggled, nodding against me. “Kenton was so funny.”
Rolling my eyes, I turned my head and nuzzled against him. “Emerson was naked and sleeping on our floor. I don’t even know how to describe that.”
The cheeky pup tried not to laugh, but he was barely keeping his mirth contained. “He told you why. The living room was crowded and everyone was breathing. Basically.”
Yeah, that didn’t sound any more logical when Bishop said it.
Emerson’s drunk logic was that someone was breathing very loudly and someone else was breathing very submissively. He’d shrugged as he’d tried to explain how distracting it’d been, but it seemed to boil down to something close to he’d felt relaxed with us.
It was fine…but Bishop had said he needed to work on communication and wearing pants.
Emerson had been confused, but he’d agreed to the stipulations.
I thought he’d gotten entirely too used to work…Bishop just thought he was weird.
We both might’ve been right, but anyone who thought last night’s adventure was just something that happened between friends was probably worth keeping as a friend. Honestly, I’d lost friends over picking what restaurant to have for dinner, so I was impressed.
“I’m just going to be more careful during sleepovers.” And would make sure I carried spare clothes and pajamas in my car from now on.
Bishop snickered…he was such a brat.
“If you don’t stop laughing, I’ll tell them that you want to supervise the next sleepover to make sure no one gets hurt.” My threat had him sucking in a breath.
Drama queen.
“You wouldn’t?” His breathy, shocked tone sounded like it’d come directly from a soap opera.
“I would.” It’d probably keep them out of trouble as long as Bishop stayed sober. However, considering that Lane had told me it was my fault for giving Ian such pretty toys, I wasn’t sure how it would all work out.
“You’re evil.” He giggled quietly before sighing and scooting even closer. There’d been something on his mind for a while, but I’d decided to wait it out and see if he would bring it up first. It looked like we were almost there. “You’re also sneaky.”
Bingo.
“Me?” Playing innocent, I shrugged. “I’m just trying not to fall asleep. I’m not sneaking anywhere.”
I could almost hear him rolling his eyes as he sighed again. “You’re ridiculous.”
And I was his Dom…the Dom who was going to step in and demand some answers if he didn’t open up soon.
“You were sneaky and ridiculous when you told our cute boy that he could pick out toys and then charged right in like there was nothing to be nervous about.” Bishop’s words said worried, but his tone didn’t, so I played dumb again.
