“If you told me down the road that Ian was a phase or that you didn’t want for us to end up as three people in a committed relationship, then yes, I’d be upset.” Just thinking about it made my blood pressure go up. “I’ll admit to having had a few casual relationships in the past, but it doesn’t make me happy. I want those memories to be special. Including someone casual would taint the memory for me.”
It’d always ended with drama or frustration…or both.
“If we’re going forward trying to have a real relationship, I want our firsts to have meaning.” Did that sound too cliché? “I want us to remember our firsts, whatever they are, fondly, not with regret.”
Definitely cliché.
“But if Ian is a serious part of our life and our relationship going forward, I would want him with us for those firsts so they’d be our firsts.” It was another mangled sentence, but I knew he got the point when he gave me a sweet smile.
“Then yes, I would like for us to have all our firsts, not just our firsts, together.” He paused, cocking his head and mouthing the sentence again. “That didn’t come out like I thought it would.”
Chuckling, I leaned over and kissed his head, going back to rewarding him with his massage. “I understood what you meant.”
I got another happy wiggle from my eager pup, but I pretended not to know what he was so excited about. “Sir…”
He dramatically dragged the word out as I barely managed not to laugh. “Drama queen. Alright, then yes, how about we invite our boy over to explore the flogger? I think you’d do a very good job of edging him.”
And a wonderful job of driving us all crazy with his wonderful, wicked words.
“When? Now?” He sat up on his knees, starting to pat himself down for his phone. “Fuck. I think I left it in the car.”
I would not laugh.
I would not laugh.
I was a good Dom and wouldn’t laugh.
“Shit.” He looked around the living room. “Did you see me come in with my keys?”
It was going to be a long night.
Chapter 14
Ian
They’d lost their fucking minds and I was just along for the ride.
Yep, no matter how badly or how awkwardly the scene went, this wasn’t my idea, so I couldn’t get embarrassed.
Nope.
This would be Bishop’s fault because there was no way something this random was Cohen’s idea. He was a planner. He would’ve sent over another checklist at the very least. Yep, no extra checklist meant this was all Bishop’s idea.
I was so focused on remembering this insanity would not be my fault that I squealed and threw my hands off the steering wheel when the phone rang.
Thankfully, I was parked in Cohen’s driveway and had been for about five minutes.
“Hello.” Scrambling for what to say as Cohen’s phone connected, I rambled out the first thing that came to mind. “I’m almost there. Traffic is nuts.”
He snorted. “You’re in my driveway.”
Fuck.
He was looking out the window.
Goddamn it.
“Stop cursing in your head. I can see it on your face.” The annoying fucker had me sighing, which just made him laugh. “Stop that or I’m going to tell your Daddy on you.”
Evil man.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just needed a minute.” Or two…or five. “I’ll be right in.”
Eventually.
“Do you know what your Daddy is doing?” The question was so random I forgot to get worried as I answered him.
“No. He said he was going to get a few things ready?” He’d been very excited and very vague.
“He’s sitting in my office watching…let’s call them educational videos because even though he’s not going to be using the flogger tonight, he wanted to make sure he knew how it should look.” Cohen’s face was too distorted by the darkness and the glare from the house for me to see it, but I knew from his tone that he was smiling.
“He was excited.” And cute. “He was very clear about what was going to happen and he went over all the details before he asked me if I wanted to come over.”
I didn’t want Cohen to think that Daddy hadn’t been up front and that was why I was still hiding in the car.
Cohen sighed and I could hear something tender in his voice. “I know, cutie. I was sitting on the couch with him when he called.”
Aww.
Had Daddy been too nervous to do it by himself or just too excited?
Probably both.
“If I was the less trusting type of Dom, I would ask you if you were out there playing with yourself.” His sexy voice had my mouth dropping open as a shiver raced through me.
I hadn’t been hard before, mostly because of the panic, but I couldn’t say that anymore.
“I…” Fuck. How was I supposed to respond to something that sexy and ridiculous? “I’ve been very good, Sir.”
