I hated feeling helpless, and feeling ridiculous was even worse.
Wesley winced. “I hate to say this because it’s so cliché, but have you talked to your Dom? Hell, have you talked to your sub?”
I might’ve snorted. “Of course not, that would be too logical.”
Who did he think he was talking to?
Rolling his eyes, Wesley leaned back on his hands and glared at me. “Talk to them. At the very least talk to Cohen and ask him what he’s thinking.”
“He’s thinking that he’s fine with everything as long as he gets to come over and help get Ian ready for bed a few times a week, little- or naked-fun-type tucking in, either works.” I was serious but Wesley giggled.
“I don’t think they wanted you to tell anyone that.”
Hmm.
“No one said I couldn’t, and it’s not like I told Eli.” I was sometimes overeager, but I wasn’t stupid. “You’re not going to tell anyone but Tyler.”
Duh.
He wasn’t quite a hermit, but he was close. In fact, getting him out of the house more for social things would be going on my to-do list if he slipped back into his old habits.
Shrugging, he gave me a silly grin. “Okay, maybe.”
“You think I have to talk to them?” Clearly, I wasn’t any good at changing topics and hiding from my problems. “I’m not sure how that’s going to sound or how to make it…I don’t know, not transactional.”
I didn’t want to be an unromantic asshole.
Wesley went quiet, thinking and studying the problem, so I did my best to be patient. It was painful, but I managed to survive until he sat up like a cartoon light bulb had just gone off over his head. “You said Cohen had you do those lists to figure out your limits, right?”
“Yes.” Oh, I was starting to see where his mind was going.
“Have Ian fill out something similar. At the very least you need to know what he wants to explore outside of little time.” Wesley leaned back again, studying me since it was my turn to think.
“That’s a good idea.” But I kind of hated how I was going to make Ian squirm even though it was necessary. Sympathizing too much with my sub was going to be the hardest part of being a Dom. “That would at least give me some jumping-off points for discussions with Ian.”
“And Cohen.” Wesley piped up like we’d gotten to his next ah-ha moment. “Then you go to Cohen and talk about how to incorporate everyone’s limits and you could even ask for a scene. Because honestly, you’re stressed…well, for you, you’re stressed.”
I wanted to laugh at the way he said it, but he wasn’t entirely wrong.
“Okay, that’s a reasonable idea too.”
Wesley scoffed. “It’s a good idea, not just a reasonable one.”
Rolling my eyes, I refused to giggle at his drama. “It’s stressful, so that bumps it down to reasonable.”
That should’ve been obvious.
“You’ve tipped into Eli-level nuts.” He scoffed as I laughed. “You need to think about what you just said.”
Laughing, I shook my head. “Fine. Take it back and I’ll be a big boy and talk to my boy and my Dom.”
That sentence did not make the situation sound rational at all.
“I won’t take it back until you’ve talked to them.” He sat up, crossing his arms over his chest. “And keep it up and I’ll point out that your boy hasn’t seen your pup and you’re more than three dates in.”
“That’s so mean.” He clearly needed more time with just his Dom because the only reason a sub would say something like that was when he wasn’t getting spanked enough.
He was lucky I was such a good friend and would make sure his Dom knew there was a problem.
Wesley attempted to sit taller and gave me a stern look. “I’m a very serious person.”
He was such a dork.
Barely managing not to laugh, I leaned over and kissed his cheek, loving the way he blushed and fell back on the floor dramatically. “You’re very stern and serious. Thank you for trying to take care of me.”
“I hate you.” His words would’ve held more weight if he weren’t hiding behind his hands again. “Talk to your Dom.”
The fact that he still kept pushing even though he was embarrassed said he wasn’t going to let go. “Fine.”
If it was that important to him, he might just be right.
Besides, there was no downside to pup time and Cohen liked having me over.
“I’m his pup, so that means he wants to take care of me.” My reminder had Wesley peeking through his fingers.
“Just like you like taking care of Ian.” Sitting up now that he had a topic to lecture me on again, he was sweet and serious as he nearly wagged his finger at me. “What would you say if Ian called you up and said he was feeling stressed and wanted to be little?”
