“You better not have hurt her!” Leslie barked at him, angry that he would do so much harm to innocent people.

“Relax, Constance. Your precious nanny is just fine. She was very nice, we met her in her car coming in as we were leaving. She told us where to find you.”

Leslie felt relieved. She was sure that Marla had no idea who they were or that they meant any harm.

“Of course, she’s a good-looking girl. You and the old man ever get a little freaky with her after the girls are down for the night? I know how much you enjoy a little bit of group activity.”

“You’re disgusting,” Leslie spat back at him.

“I can be. Maybe we’ll stop by on our way out of here and visit her again. You and I can have a bit of fun with her before we go home. She had nice full lips that I found very appealing. I would suggest a threesome, but you’re fucking hideous with that beach ball sticking out in front. We’ll take care of that as soon as we get home. I’m not raising another man’s bastards. Yeah, I think that’s a good idea. You can sit and watch while I strip down that hot little nanny of yours and she sucks my cock before me and every one of my guys I brought take turns on her. Doesn’t that sound like fun?”

“No. It sounds like rape. It sounds like something a sick man like you would dream up just to show how vile and disgusting he can be for no other reason than just being a dick.”

“Oh, Constance. Such vulgarity! Definitely going to have to break you of that habit too.”

“Just leave, Blane. Leave and take your boys with you. We both know you want neither me nor the girls. I’ll call the police and make arrangements to prove all four of us are alive, so that they will leave you alone.”

“I’m afraid we are well past that, Constance. This guy, this Marshall fellow. He showed up at a pack meeting and told everyone how my whore wife ran away with our kids and married some other guy. So, you see, I couldn’t just ignore my pack when they wanted to come out here with him to get my girls back.”

Leslie darted her eyes toward the wolves surrounding the children. She recognized two of them, but not the third. There was probably not only Blane’s guys, but Marshall most likely brought some of his own. Though they had not been present when she had stepped out the back door, they were apparently lurking in the woods, expecting the fight they would have on their hands.

“What do you want then, Blane? You came to take the girls?”

“Yes, all four of you.”

“Why would I go back with you?”

“Because if you don’t, then all four of you die, along with whatever mongrels you’ve got growing in that beach ball you’ve got going on.”

“You’ve already said you have no intention of raising the children I’m carrying, so they are as good as dead if I leave with you anyway.”

“Constance, really? What sort of monster do you take me for? You really think I would kill innocent babies?”

“Yes. You are threatening to kill small children right now. Why would I think you’re incapable of killing anyone?”

He shrugged and nodded. “That’s fair enough, but listen, Constance. We’re running out of time to chat it up in here. It’s time to get going. You don’t really have a say in what happens once you leave here, but you can prevent anyone else in this room from dying today.”

Leslie stood there, just looking at him. She could shift and do her best, but there were four of them against a much weaker Omega. If she went with him, she would suffer, but she could make sure her girls were okay. Perhaps she could find a way to have her new babies away from them, to get them back to Tucker, assuming Tucker was still alive. The thought made her feel sick.

“Okay, Blane. I’ll go with you. Let’s go now, before anyone else gets hurt.”

“That’s the only smart thing you’ve done since I’ve known you,” he growled, motioning toward the three wolves. They stepped forward, each grabbing a toddler in their jaws.

“Wait. What are they doing?” she screeched.

“Insurance. We’re going to walk out the front door with those babies and when we’re safely inside my car and on my way, they’ll put them down and disappear into the woods.”

“That’s not necessary. We have the girls. No one in this pack will let them be hurt or me. I’m married to the Alpha.”

“You were married to the Alpha and that marriage is void, because you are still married to me. No one in this pack cares about outside babies. Wisen up. Let’s go.”
