I pulled away, needing to ask. “I—”

Marco put a finger on my lips. “If you come to dinner looking well fucked maybe Compton will think I’ve taught you some manners after all.”

I growled at him. “Don’t even joke about that.”

“Don’t you want to be my obedient boy?”

“Fuck no.”

“Really? Not even here? You wouldn’t like it if I told you to open your ass for me, to ride my cock, to take me deep inside you?”

I swallowed hard as I tried to remember how to form words. “I was thinking it was my turn to be the one fucking you. You’ve had a hard day. Wouldn’t you like to just relax and take it? Focusing on my cock stretching your ass might help you forget just how much you want to rip Compton apart.”

Marco studied me for a moment. “I like to fight back. You really think you can top me?”

I huffed. “I fucking know I can.”

“Then try it.”

Marco’s eyes widened as I swept his legs out from under him and pinned him to the floor. I straddled him, holding him at gunpoint with the weapon I’d concealed in my shorts.

“Damn. I’m impressed.”

“You should be,” I snarled.

“Do you need this, Niall? Do you need to take control?”

“Fuck yes.” As good as it was to surrender to Marco, I was going to have to do that in front of everyone. I was going to have to pretend to be helpless, unimportant, no more than a toy. I needed to be in control for just a little while. “I need you at my mercy.” I slid the barrel of my gun along his jaw and down across his neck. His eyes were wide, but he tilted his head to the side as if asking for more.

“Are you scared? Worried I might snap?”

“Scared of you? No. Of what’s happening between us? Maybe.”

I smiled. “I like your honesty.”

“I expect the same from you, especially with everyone else here lying to us.”

“I’m not going to lie to you. You piss me off. You drive me crazy, but I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anyone.”

“If that’s a lie, don’t ever admit it.”

I moved my gun so it was pointed away from him and leaned down to speak against his ear. “It’s one hundred percent true.”

Why was I telling him this when it made me feel so fucking vulnerable? Maybe because I needed to solidify trust between us. I had no one else here. But what if I was wrong about him, what if… No. X and Devil trusted Marco. I wasn’t making this call myself.

I’d fucked up before, but I wasn’t going to make the same mistake again. I couldn’t because if I did, it just might kill me.”

“Put the gun away,” Marco said. “I’m not going to fight that hard.”

“You’re not?” I sounded more surprised than I’d intended to.

“No. You’re right. I need to stop thinking after that meeting.”

Fuck, this was going to be good. “Hands and knees. Now.”

“Here?”

“Fuck yes.”

“We have a perfectly good bed.”

“This carpet is soft enough.”

“Yes, sir,” he said, his tone mocking.

“Now who’s the one who needs to learn manners?”

He growled. “That’s not how things work here.”

“You honestly think some of those assholes don’t like to get fucked? They’re just not going to tell anyone about it.”

“I don’t need a lecture. Are you going to get on with this or what?”

“You really do need to learn. Should I gag you?”

“If you want me to stay quiet, that’s what it will take.”

Was he serious? I pulled my t-shirt over my head, intending to turn it into a gag, unconcerned that it probably cost hundreds of dollars. It wasn’t my fault X had spent too much on the clothes.

As I twisted the shirt so I could tie it around his head, I glanced at the door. “What if Compton comes back?”

“The security chain is on. That will buy us some time.”

“He might still be able to see us.”

“Then hurry up.”

My heart thundered against my chest. “We shouldn’t risk it.”

“No, but if we didn’t like to take risks, we’d never have gotten where we are.”

“I don’t—”

He turned and glared at me. “Don’t try to act like you don’t get off on it.”

Just like most people in our positions, I knew there was nothing like the rush of pulling off something that never should’ve worked. Every time I’d taken a risk to free a hostage, I’d felt like I could conquer the world, and I always wanted to celebrate by burying myself in a hot, willing man.

“Open your mouth,” I ordered.

Marco groaned. “Fuck. I like you like this.”

“Good. I like me like this too.”

He tried to laugh, but I shoved the gag into his mouth and secured it behind his head. He could pull it off easily if he wanted to, but I didn’t think he would.
