"You're beautiful when you laugh," I whispered.

He laughed so hard that he got off me and collapsed on the bed beside me.

I took the chance and sat astride him, deliberately and slowly rubbing my pussy against his hard length. “What is so funny?” I asked.

"I’ve never been called beautiful."

"So what then are you called?"

His hands came up and curled around my hips. "The word I hear the most is bastard."

I stopped. "Is that literal?"

"It is not."

I carried on rubbing myself on him. "Then you must annoy people quite often."

"It’s an occupational hazard,” he dismissed, holding my gaze. "You're not going to answer my question?"

I gave him a profuse smile. "I meant the vineyard.”

“Shame,” he murmured, the smile slowly disappearing from his face. Holding me by the waist, he lifted me away from him.

I took his shaft in my hand and with my eyes on his, positioned it over my entrance.

Then he pushed me down onto the thick head of his cock, as his eyelids fluttered dreamily.

Chapter 41

April

An hour later and we were all seated on a large mat somewhere in the middle of the eighty hectares of vines. Yuri and I were beside each other while Yulia and Alex were opposite.

My idea of a picnic was cold chicken sandwiches, some cans of soda, and some cupcakes. What was on the mat was a lavish feast with platters of all kinds of meats, pasta, salad, pickled treats, bread, sweets, cakes, pastries, three bottles of rich red wine that the vineyard produced.

I gazed at Yuri as he opened a bottle of wine. This was the most relaxed I’d ever seen him in a pair of dark jeans and a loose white T-shirt. His hair was all over the place in light wind tousled waves, and his eyes were sparkling.

He poured a glass of Merlot for me and I lifted it to my lips. At the rich, mellow taste, I shut my eyes and nodded approvingly.

He laughed and quarter filled another glass with Petit Verdot. "This is a bit drier," he said.

Just before I took a sip, I glanced towards our audience.

Yulia looked like she was about to burst into tears while Alex just stared at Yuri with a disbelieving look in his eyes.

"Yulia are you okay?" I asked.

She dropped her gaze and picked disinterestedly at her food.

I turned to Yuri, and met him watching her too. With a touch to his arm, I silently urged him to speak to her.

"Yulia," he called.

She responded immediately by looking up at him, her face fearful.

I really couldn’t understand why she was so afraid of him when he seemed not only to have such a deep love for her, but was also so protective of her.

Alex's phone began to ring then. He picked it up, his gaze on Yuri. He listened for a moment and then fired off some rapid Russian instructions before turning to Yuri then he said something to him, also in Russian.

Yuri frowned and nodded.

Both men rose to their feet. Yuri turned to Yulia and gave her a gentle smile. It changed his entire stern outlook.

Once, all I could see was a rude beast of man, now I saw through the cracks the bright light inside him.

"I'll be back soon," he said to me. "The afternoon was planned with a bicycle ride on the beach, but you can do that with Yulia."

I didn't want Yuri to leave. I could feel my heart sinking. With a warm squeeze on my shoulder, he strolled away with Alex and I hoped whatever it was he was going to he wouldn't return in a bad mood.

I turned to Yulia and decided to speak frankly with her since we were alone. I had only a few more days left and I needed to get to the root of this intense fear she had of her uncle. "Honey," I called and she raised her head to me. "Are you all right?"

She nodded.

“Will you tell me if something was wrong?”

She thought about it then nodded slowly.

“Are you afraid of your uncle?”

She swallowed hard and swung her head to look at the departing men.

“Are you?” I prompted.

She bit her lip.

“You can tell me. I promise I won’t tell anyone.”

Slowly, she nodded her head.

“Can you tell me why?”

Suddenly, her eyes filled with tears.

It broke my heart to see how hurt she was. I reached over and pulled her into my arms. “It’s okay. Don’t cry. Whatever it is we’ll work it out together, okay?”

She didn’t say a word after that, so slightly frustrated, I let it go.

Finally, after a while we were done eating.

One of the workers, named Anton came and smiled at us. He had leathery face and he wore a cap. "Do you both want to pick some grapes?"

I looked at Yulia and my heart warmed when her excitement seemed to be returning.
