“Do you want me to buy your pottery? I could buy out your store. Or pay for your art lessons. Or your rent. You choose, pretty girl.”
Addy blinks at me, stunned.
“Oh no,” she says quickly. “That would be too much. Besides, I’m not doing terrible, I just have to budget, that’s all. But everyone has to budget because it’s a fact of life.”
“I didn’t mean to offend you,” I say in a low voice. “I just want to help.”
She smiles gently. “No, I’m not offended, Caleb, and I appreciate it, I really do. But no, it’s too much.”
I fix her with a look.
“This is out of left field, but since we’re being so open with one another tonight, have you thought of donating your eggs? I know it’s an option for women who want to make some extra cash and I always see ads for it in the back of the campus newspaper.”
Addy gasps, her eyes going wide.
“Definitely not because donating eggs is a lot more involved than donating sperm.”
“So you’ve looked into it?” I press.
She nods and sighs.
“I was curious, so I did some research, but the process freaked me out. It’s not like guys, where you go to a clinic and shoot into a cup. For egg donation, girls have to get all kinds of hormone shots and stuff, and the extraction itself is a type of surgery. It’s very involved.”
I nod.
“Okay so that’s out.”
She bites her lip.
“Yeah, definitely. At least at this point. Plus, girls hardly get paid anything to do it. Most of the money goes towards the medical bills that come along with the hormones and extraction process, so there isn’t much profit once everything’s said and done.”
I nod seriously. “Still, you’d make an amazing mommy, sweetheart. You’re patient, graceful, and kind. You’d be great.”
Holy shit, where is this coming from? I can’t believe I just said those words, but Addy blushes and squeezes my hand.
“Thank you, Caleb. I think you’d make a great daddy, too.”
I pull her against my chest and kiss her. “I like to think so.”
With that, we stroll some more, the air comfortable between us. It’s interesting. I literally met this woman only last week, and yet it feels like I’ve known her my whole life. Not only that, but we’ve already been together in an intimate way, but it’s oddly right. We understand each other, and the conversation between us flows easily and without a break.
This is an astonishing development in my life because as a CEO, I hardly ever go out, and when I do, it’s with women who want me for my money and position. They want what I can do for them, instead of what we can create together. But with Addy, all of that’s fallen by the wayside, and I’m already wondering what it would be like to knock her up and take care of her forever. Sheer Heaven, that’s what it would be.

I straighten up my clothes as I exit the exam room where Caleb’s doing his business. It’s pretty scandalous actually. I always enter the collection room with him and close the door, although that’s not so sketchy in and of itself. It’s just that I stay there far longer than needed, and then slip away as silent as a mouse afterwards. Obviously, we’re not quiet when we’re together in there, but we’ve been blasting the porn to drown out our moans and grunts.
But still, it’s so dirty because I’m literally tiptoeing down the halls of Valley Cryo at the moment with Caleb’s seed leaking from my behind. My bottom hole feels raw and ravaged too, and I wince while going around the corner. Oof, he really used me hard this time.
Quickly, I pass the staff break room with only a wave at my co-worker Barbara. She’s older, and I definitely don’t want to make small talk with the septuagenarian. Plus, if she knew what I’ve been doing, she’d probably pee her pants before reporting me to HR.
As a result, I creep up to reception and sink into the empty swivel chair next to Freya. Fortunately, the place is empty and she shoots me a welcoming smile while closing out a game of Solitaire on her monitor.
“What’s up, girlfriend?”
I smile dreamily.
“Not a lot. Life is good, that’s all.”
As if on cue, Caleb comes out from the back and drops a kiss on my uplifted mouth. “I’m all set. I’ll see you later, sweetheart?”
I pull his dark head down and kiss him again. “Yes definitely. We’re on for dinner, so talk then.”
Freya practically melts as we both watch my boyfriend exit the building, the little bell over the door dinging merrily.
“I can’t believe you’re dating him,” she says in an impressed voice. “Holy shit.”
“I know, right?” I sigh. “It’s been amazing. Caleb treats me so well and we get along like two peas in a pod.”
