“You almost got your ass singed today!” somebody calls out from across the room. It’s Damian and his little crew, a group of guys around my age who’ve been inseparable since we were pups. He considers himself the leader of the group, and his buddies are all too happy to agree with him. They laugh like they’ve never heard anything so funny in their lives.
“You’re lucky I don’t singe your sorry ass here and now!” I shout back. He’s damn lucky he’s as good a fighter as he is and that I’ve already seen too much blood and carnage, or else I wouldn’t be kidding. And he knows it, I’m sure—we’ve gotten into it more than once, thanks to his smart-ass attitude and my temper.
Forrest’s temper, too, come to think of it—my little brother has gotten me into more than one fight, defending his mouthy ass.
Only now do I realize Forrest is nowhere near me. A quick look around reveals him by the bar, leaning a little too close to a blonde with tits so round, so full and perky, that I’m about ready to fall to my knees at the sight of them in the low-cut tee that barely covers them. And she knows the power she wields, too, pressing them against his arm as she leans over to grab a napkin from a dispenser. I’m pretty sure I can hear his dick getting hard.
“Yo! Forrest!” Greg, behind the bar, raises a hand to catch my brother’s attention. “You know I love you, man, but we’re gonna have to discuss your tab someday soon.”
A knowing laugh rises up around us while my brother, halfway through lifting a full pint glass to his lips, puts on an innocent expression. “I thought we settled up after the last full moon.”
“And that’s what you told me last month, remember?” Forrest is obviously irritated but murmurs something to the blonde, patting her on the ass before moving further down the bar to have a word with the owner.
While he’s busy, I make my move, sliding in behind the blonde. Now that I’m closer to her and can see more than her tits and her ass, I recognize her as Trinity Fielding, a girl pretty much every male member of the pack has lusted after at least one time or another since we were kids. “Hey, Trin. You look good tonight.” What an understatement. She’s wearing a skirt so tight it looks like it was painted on.
Her full lips curve in a glossy smile as she looks me up and down. “You too, Wilde. I heard you kicked some ass out there today. But look at you.” She runs a hand down the side of my face. “Not a scratch on this face of yours. That’s a relief. I would hate to see some witch scar you up.”
I can’t help but think of Brady. I have to push the thought of him away so I can grin at her. “I always heard women think scars are hot.”
“But to ruin a face like this? No, you’re perfect the way you are now.” She doesn’t stop at my face, letting her hand trail down my chest next. I don’t stop her. I don’t want to.
“You better be careful, or I might think you like me.”
“Excuse me.” The next thing I know, my brother is behind her, wrapping an arm around her waist. “Thanks for keeping Trinity company while I was busy, but I think I’ll take it from here.”
“And there I was, thinking you were keeping her company before I made it over here.”
He leans down, nuzzling her neck as she giggles. “You don’t want an old man like him,” he murmurs just loud enough for me to hear.
“Ten minutes older,” I remind him.
“He makes it seem like ten years,” Forrest tells her. His hand not-so-accidentally drifts upward, cupping her tit, which he appears to be testing the weight of before moving to the other. The grin that flashes across his face tells me he’s impressed. “Why don’t we get out of here, and I’ll tell you all about how I saved his ass today?”
“I have a better idea.” Without removing my brother’s hand from her tits, Trinity lowers her hand until she’s palming my bulge. “How about I show both of you how grateful I am and how good of a job you’re all doing?”
My brother and I exchange a look. I’m tempted but unsure. “I don’t know if I’m in the mood for that tonight,” I decide.
She thrusts out her full bottom lip in a pout. “Come on. Am I not good enough to have both of you the way I’ve heard other girls do?”
“You know I think you’re hot as shit, but not tonight.” I don’t think I have it in me tonight. I jerk my chin at my brother. “Go ahead. Have fun.” Forrest’s grin turns to a wide smile as he wraps his other arm around Trinity and lifts her off her feet, turning her away from me while she giggles helplessly. Something tells me she’s already gotten over her disappointment.
