“His response? He doesn’t want to do the meeting if you’re not there?” Brian was kind of incidental. Brian had been going so Dare would have backup. He wouldn’t be doing any real negotiating with Huisman.
Brian sat back, a wry smile tugging up his lips. “Oh, he wants the meeting. He just wants it with… How did he put it?” He looked back at his phone. “Tell Nash to bring that stunner of his so we have something nice to look at instead of his ugly mug.”
“I don’t have a… Does he mean a stun gun?” Dare was slightly confused.
Nate bit back a laugh. “I believe he’s asking you to bring Tasha. And the other reference wasn’t to a coffee mug.”
Dare frowned his way. “I got that part.”
“At least he didn’t tell you your face is a bucket of smashed crabs.” Tasha moved in behind him and tilted his head back, staring down at him with her impish grin. “He’s got terrible taste. You’re obviously a spunk.”
She knew way more Aussie than he did. Probably what happened when a person had family here.
A bell chimed behind him, letting him know someone was at the door, probably Tasha’s cousin, who’d started meeting them for what she called “brekky.”
Tasha kissed him and sank down on the seat across from him. She was still in the big, oversized robe that sported the hotel crest. He happened to know there was absolutely nothing under that robe, and he had the wildest urge to order her to go get dressed because there were men here.
Which would likely get him in serious trouble because he was literally sitting out here in his robe, too. He’d made the decision because he had a couple of hours before he needed to shove himself into a suit. It looked different on Tash. On Tash that robe might completely cover her, but it also reeked of sex and sensuality and reminded him of the way she’d straddled him the night before. She’d ridden him like a stallion, and he’d been happy to do it.
When she’d gasped and come and her body had relaxed, he’d flipped her over, spread her legs, and fucked her hard.
And then he’d slept. Like a baby. He could sleep with her around.
He needed to keep his mind on the plans for the day or he would be sitting here with a massive erection, and his sub might actually try to take care of it for him. She was surprisingly comfortable with her sexuality.
A bad idea considering they had company. “I do not understand the language here.”
“It is a different world,” Brian agreed. He seemed more comfortable around Tasha now that they had Nate with them. He’d stopped complaining that she might be a spy. And started complaining that she was a distraction. “Looks like you’re going to be working a bit today, stunner.”
“I thought Dare was working.” Tasha poured out some coffee.
“He is. If you can call having a power lunch with some of the most influential people in the world work,” Brian replied.
“Yes. It’s absolutely work.” Dare didn’t want to do it. Not at all. Brian seemed to think it was fun to talk business with sharks. It wasn’t.
“Well, it’s the first time in days we’ve managed to get you out there,” Brian snarked.
He deserved that. He’d pretty much pushed all the work off on Brian so he could spend time with Tasha. He was useless, anyway. He’d tried that first morning, but the idea that she was sitting upstairs had blown all his concentration, and by afternoon he’d told Brian to go solo on the meetings and taken Tasha to the beach. They’d lain in a cabana and splashed in the waves and tried not to step on shit that could kill them.
Nate was good at telling them about all the things that could kill them.
“Sorry. I’ll try to be better.” He wouldn’t try hard. He was already thinking about other things they could do. Maybe she would like a morning hike up Sydney Harbour Bridge. He’d been told it had fabulous views of the city. Was hiking romantic?
“At least I know you’ll make this meeting because Tasha will be there,” Brian replied.
“Why am I involved in this?” Tasha asked.
“Morn.” Kara stepped out on the balcony and frowned at her cousin. “What are you doing? Can you not get dressed anymore? You look like sex, Tash.”
Ha. Someone else could be the voice of reason.
Tasha merely sent her cousin her middle finger. “I’m perfectly covered, and Brian has zero interest in seeing my girl parts. Neither does Nate.”
Nate shrugged. “I mean, I wouldn’t look away.”
“I only would because Dare would beat the crap out of me,” Brian admitted. “Otherwise, I would absolutely look, but only for aesthetic reasons. You know I only have one set of parts I’d like to see.”
