Maya drifted in a sea of pleasure. An ocean of brightly colored stars. There was only pleasure—and Gorya. He was right there with her. She felt him. Mind to mind. If anyone had told her real love existed and she would find a soul mate, she would have laughed at them. She didn’t consider herself romantic or poetic, but she knew she’d been born to be with Gorya. Destined for him.

Take a breath, baby.

She felt the pads of his fingers tracing a path along her cheekbones. Down to the corners of her mouth.

I don’t believe breathing is all that important.

Masculine amusement filled her mind. There was satisfaction in making Gorya laugh. He so rarely did. She would have basked in that accomplishment, but she couldn’t move, and her brain was too fried to think. Even the mechanics of breathing was too much for her to figure out.

Still. Gorya took her hand and brought her fingertips to his mouth, biting down hard enough to sting. That penetrated her blissful euphoria. Take a breath for me anyway. And while you’re at it, stop crying.

Am I crying? Was she? I didn’t used to cry. Not ever. I think you’ve turned me into a sobby crybaby.

I’ll take the blame if you breathe.

He pressed her palm over his bare chest where she could feel his heart beating. He inhaled. She followed his lead automatically. She was beginning to come to life again, the bright colors receding and the magic electrical sparks fading to leave her wanting more.

You can’t offer to take the blame on conditions if you are to blame, she pointed out.

His soft laughter filled her mind, and his lips followed the trail of a tear down her face. You’re coming around from your sex-induced high. The purring male satisfaction in his voice was almost too much to take. He was definitely feeling smug.

Maya had flung one arm over her eyes as she lay there trying to find a way to catch her breath. She turned her head and peeked out from under her arm to look at the man who gave her so much and never seemed to ask for anything in return. She wanted him. Wanted to give him everything. There was no putting her mouth on him yet. She didn’t have that kind of courage. She would have to work up to that. But she wanted to be part of him. Skin to skin. His body in hers. She felt empty without him. And he needed. No matter what he said, he needed.

She was slick and wanting right at that moment. Still trusting and unafraid. There was trepidation, but if she took the initiative, didn’t put it on him, gave him a gift instead of him being the one doing the giving, she might figure out a way to make love to him.

Gathering her courage, Maya sat up and rolled onto his large frame, sprawling over him, straddling his hips, careful to align her body perfectly so the heat of her feminine core was just inches below his thick shaft. He rose like a tower against her belly, between her legs, so hot he felt like a furnace. Excitement coursed through her along with a sense of power.

Gorya lifted his head, his eyes meeting hers in shock. Both hands caught at her shoulders as if he might launch her into the air. His fingers tightened into iron bands, but he didn’t move, his body frozen.

“What are you doing?”

She raised a hand and traced the lines in his face with a fingertip. “I love your face. I love looking at you. Staring into your eyes. I see love there and it always astonishes me. Takes me by surprise. I keep thinking it won’t be there, but you never fail me.”

Maya bent forward to feather whisper-soft kisses from the corner of his eye to the corner of his mouth. She rubbed her lips back and forth over his, savoring the feel of his soft bristle before she sat up again.

“I’ve been thinking.”

Gorya regarded her warily as he gently pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “It’s always dangerous when you use that tone and get that wicked look on your face.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll take good care of you,” she promised, doing her best to look sober and innocent. Deliberately she wriggled her body, letting her slick heat slide along his lower belly right next to his cock’s head.

She felt the tremor run through his body, and his hands slipped to her hips. Once again, his fingers dug into her flesh.

“Baby, seriously, this isn’t a good idea.” Little beads of sweat broke out on his forehead.

“Hear me out, Gorya.” Deliberately she looked down at his cock, swollen and desperate. Pearly cream dotted the broad head, and she couldn’t resist wrapping her fist around the shaft as he’d taught her earlier and smearing those drops with the pad of her thumb.
