Once I pay the bill, we head back to the car park in silence. But the moment we slip into the backseat of the limo, it’s Brielle who says, “I want to know what’s going on between you, Kai, and Judah.”

“What?” I snap my gaze to hers.

I wasn’t expecting her to say that, and I have to tread carefully because there are things she may freak out about. I can’t let that happen.

“I saw you and Kai with that girl,” Brielle says, but she doesn’t meet my gaze.

Her cheeks darken to a deep pink, and I’m pretty sure they’d be bright red if I divulged all our secrets.

“Yeah,” I respond, wary of taking it too far.

This time, Brielle does look my way. “You were… both of you…” She stumbles over her words, and as predicted, those cheeks of hers darken.

“We were both fucking her,” I say with a shrug. “Haven’t you ever heard of a threesome?”

The thought of having Brielle between us, including Judah, does something to me. I recognised her beauty the moment she came into view. When I first laid eyes on her, I was entranced by her, and the image of her naked, in the throes of passion, with our hands all over her and cocks inside her has me stifling a groan.

“I have,” Brielle retorts, folding her arms across her chest. “I just wanted to know if all three of you do that. You’re very close and seem to be much more than just friends.”

“You’ve noticed that?” I question as I arch a brow at her.

“Well, there’s something between you three,” she says, shrugging. “Maybe I’m seeing things or reading too much into it.”

She turns away, and I can’t help but smile. It’s always been obvious to those close to us we’re more than just friends. There are those small touches, those long stares between us. Occasionally, Jordan has walked in on a kiss that perhaps shouldn’t have happened. But Judah’s brother has known about our unconventional relationship for years, and he’s never judged.

I came to the conclusion I was bisexual when I was in my early teens, and I started to look at Judah in a different light. I saw more than just my best friend. It was only once we’d moved to Black Hollow that the connection grew. The same with Malachi. Our relationship wouldn’t be acceptable to our parents—they’re strait-laced in their views, which means we have to be careful while we’re still awaiting the moment to step into our roles as head of our organisations. If anyone found out before we’re made Bosses, before we’re given the keys to our respective kingdoms, all hell would break loose.

“Some things aren’t spoken about in public, princess,” I finally offer her an answer.

Even though our drivers are trusted, we have to be careful. We’re so close to claiming our organisations, and we don’t want anything to get in the way.

For the rest of the journey home, I manage to avoid any more questions about the relationship between me, Kai, and Judah. When we walk into the house, it’s a hive of activity.

Jordan spots us as he comes down the stairs. “Princess,” he says with a smile, and I notice how receptive and friendly Brielle is with him.

It’s a different story when it comes to Judah, but then again, my best friend isn’t the warmest of people around strangers. There have been times women have run out here petrified after he’s lost his shit. Which, to be fair, is quite funny to watch from the sidelines. The thing about Judah is that he doesn’t take shit. He is upfront and open about his feelings. And it’s not always a good thing, especially when you’re not used to his arsehole ways.

“Did you have a good day?” Jordan asks as he beams at Brielle.

“Yeah, it wasn’t too bad actually. Valen isn’t the worst company in the world,” she jokes, and the soft giggle that escapes her lips has me grinning.

“I’m charming and alluring,” I counter as I pass by her and drop my keys on the table that sits just to the side of the front door.

“Go to your bedroom, Brielle,” Judah says, having appeared from the hallway where the offices are located.

Within the mansion, we’ve set up three offices, one for each of us—mine, Kai’s, and Judah’s. It’s where we’re able to work in privacy. Even though our families are loyal to one another, they all have their own secrets, and they expect us to keep them. Our separate offices give an appearance of secrecy, but the thing is, we don’t follow the rules. We have broken down the barriers that keep us separate, and between the three of us, there are no secrets. We believe that what our families don’t know, won’t get us into shit. That’s how it’s always been between us, and I doubt it will ever change.
