I have a mate now. Billy needs me as much as my people do. This is meant to be a night for her.
“I’ll be there in a minute,” I mind-link him back.
“Baby, I need to head down to the main hall. Our date and your food will be waiting when you’re done. I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
“Okay. I’ll wait for you.”
“If you’re hungry, don’t wait for me. Go on and eat.”
Not Expected
Idecide to try my hand at magic once again. My instincts have been helping me out a lot, so I go with that to try to dress myself for our date. I stand in the mirror, looking at my naked body, wondering what to wear.
I get that we’re staying in and it’s late, but I feel like jeans and a T-shirt aren’t right for this occasion. I’ve been on dates before, but for some reason, this feels like my first date ever.
I chew on my lip. I can’t go wrong with pajamas, but what if I spice things up? I grin when I find myself dressed in a sexy two-piece with a garter belt and thigh-highs. It’s a cute lacy bralette that holds up my firm breasts and panties that ride low on my hips.
“This could work,” I murmur to myself. I turn around and look over my shoulder. “Oh yeah, this can definitely work. Maybe…”
I change the color from black to red then blue. I frown and try one more time. This time, I find myself in a bright yellow. It works nicely with my skin.
“This is it.”
Maybe this will make up for me shutting down on him. I go to walk out of the bathroom and, at the last minute, decide to add a robe to my outfit and a pair of clear stripper heels.
I smile to myself as the sound of my heels clicking fills the air. Once I step out of the bathroom, I stop in my tracks and gasp. The room has been totally transformed.
As I look up, there’s a see-through floor above the original room. A clear staircase now leads to that level. In the center is a table set for two with candlelight. There are blue flowers decorating the upper loft and a soft blue glow lights the entire area.
He made a space just for our date. My heart melts and I wish he were here so I could thank him. Instead, I hurry up the stairs and sit at the table.
There’s even music playing softly in the background. This is perfect. The only thing missing is the man himself.
My stomach growls the moment I sit down. Something smells delicious. I lift the dome over the plate before me and my mouth begins to water.
I close my eyes and inhale deeply. Placing the dome aside, I rub my hands together like a menace because I’m about to devour this food. I take my first bite and groan.
My eyes roll back in my head. I sag in my seat and savor the next bite. This is heaven. The nano is so soft and fluffy and the lamb and rice have so much flavor.
He put his foot in this. I sit eating and humming happily to myself. All thoughts of eating slowly to give him a chance to join me have gone out of the window. This food is too good to slow down.
Reaching for the fruity-looking drink in my glass, I take a deep gulp. Oh my God, he’s trying to make me marry him. If I came home from work to this every night, I’d need to triple my workouts.
I’m pissed he’s been around all my life and I’m just finding him. By the time I clean my plate, he’s still not back. I sit, fighting to keep my eyes open, but the music is lulling me to sleep.
“That was so good,” I laugh to myself and pat my belly.
Slipping my robe off, I sit back in my seat and widen my eyes as if that will help me to stay awake. It doesn’t help at all. I feel myself fading.
Ardan
Once I handle the asshole stirring up shit in the main hall, I teleport right to my room for our date. A smile comes to my lips when I find Billy fast asleep before a clean plate. I allow my gaze to roam over her lazily as I take her in.
I should go kick Eric’s ass again. The yellow lingerie she has on has my groin painfully tight. She dressed up for me.
I move to scoop her up and flash us down to the bed. By the time I lay her down, I have turned the room back to the way it was before I set our date up. Climbing in bed beside her, I look down into her face and watch as she sleeps peacefully. I waver between waking her to make good on my promise or allowing her to sleep.
