Maybe that was when Massimo had known he was going to marry this woman. She’d gone from being a placid woman, to very bossy when it came to his health.

Of course, he’d seen a doctor, who had been irritated that he’d not been called. Elsie didn’t trust anyone, and seeing as she knew who he was and what he did, she’d not been willing to risk putting him in danger. Massimo had asked her about it later. Elsie had said she didn’t know if there were other gangs or people like him who would see it as a moment of weakness. If his illness had gotten worse, she’d have taken him to the hospital. It was after that moment, he gave her Romero’s number and introduced the two. His brother had been hesitant at first, until Elsie won him over by just being herself.

Massimo was pulled out of his thoughts by Elsie cupping his face.

“What is it?” she asked.

He hadn’t even realized he stopped fucking her and instead was staring into her eyes.

“I just realized how much I love you,” he said.

This made her smile. “You have only just realized it?”

“I knew it before, but now I know you’re one of a kind.”

He kissed her hard, and then with his cock still hard, he didn’t hold back and claimed her, hard, fast, watching her as she took everything he gave her and moaned his name as she did. He loved the sounds she made. So honest, so fucking sexy, as he drove balls-deep inside her again and again.

His orgasm was so close, and this time he didn’t hold back and went straight to the hilt and over the edge, flooding her pussy as he did so. She whimpered his name, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding onto her.

Seconds passed, or minutes, Massimo didn’t know. Time with Elsie never seemed to matter to him. He rarely watched the clock when he was with her.

Pulling away, he stared into her eyes.

“Where did you go?” she asked.

“I was thinking about that date,” he said.

“Which one?”

“The one where I made your life incredibly difficult by throwing up everywhere.”

She began to chuckle.

“Do you remember?”

“Yeah, I remember. I was so scared. I didn’t know if I should call a doctor or take you to the hospital. I didn’t want you to die on me, and it was the hardest few days of my life. You were so out of it.”

“I refused to be sick.”

She laughed. “You know, that makes a whole lot of sense. I don’t know if I should be offended that while you’re having sex with me, you were thinking about being sick.”

“I stared into your eyes, and I knew that day, you and I weren’t going to be a quick fling. You belong to me, just as I belong to you.”

“Always?” Elsie asked.

“Yes, always, there is no end to us, and I hope the Isabellas of this world do not change your mind.”

“They won’t,” Elsie said. “I won’t allow them the power to become between us.”

“All I had to do was kidnap you to do it.”

Chapter Nine

Christmas Eve

“Do you want kids?” Massimo asked.

Elsie frowned. They were curled up naked on the couch, which was pretty much how they’d been since Romero had left. She had already asked him if Romero was going to be joining them for Christmas. His brother had prior engagements.

It was just going to be the two of them tomorrow. They had a tiny turkey breast, a few vegetables, and stuffing already prepared. All she had to do was cook everything. She loved cooking for the whole house, and knew it was her own fault for running away. She’d make up for it when they got home.

“Yes, of course I want kids. Don’t you?” she asked, tilting her head to look at him.

He stroked her arm. “Yeah, I do.”

“Should I ask if you want kids or do you have an obligation to have them?” she asked.

“Both.”

“Do you even know what you want?”

“I know I want you, and I know I want to have a family with you.”

“One child?”

He shook his head. “At least two. Even though my brother can be a pain in the ass, there is no one else I’d have by my side.”

She smiled. “I wish I knew what it was like to have a brother or sister. It was never like that at any of the homes where I went. I knew some places were. The moment you joined you became part of this big, happy family, but I wasn’t at one of them.”

“Did you want to have kids?” Massimo asked.

Elsie giggled. “Actually, I wanted to have a dozen kids.”

“A dozen?”

“Yeah. I wanted to make sure everyone had someone in the family. There was never a dull moment. I loved watching the movies where there was always this big family with lots of kids, and there was no quiet. You know how you have that moment in movies when they suddenly get the quiet they’ve been thinking of having, and then it makes them realize how much they love their family and not want anything else?” she asked.
