“What?” Trace yelled from his room.
“Just say yes,” Dev called back.
“Yes,” Trace answered. Dev grinned broadly.
“See? Trace’s perfect for me.”
Cash took a couple of steps down to anchor an arm around Dev’s shoulders, drawing him close. His love kissed him. A hot, lingering moment that curled his toes. He pulled back to hold Cash’s gaze. Everything else in the world faded away.
“Let’s finish so we can go home and celebrate,” Dev said quietly.
“You took the words out of my mouth.” He lost the eye hold when Cash excitedly pivoted around to Mitch. “Hey, that’s another one.”
Mitch paused, seemingly thinking about it then gave a single nod.
“I’m gonna start sextin’ you. Millie, make sure I have four o’clock free every day,” Dev said teasingly, giving his guy a knowing wink. “It won’t take me more than five minutes to get my guy off. Anybody wanna bet?”
“Dev, finish so we can go home,” Cash instructed and started back up the ladder. “We have to put the girls to bed, and I don’t need blue balls to set in.”
“Blue balls, good reminder,” Mitch shot out, giving a chuckle.
“I can’t unhear these words,” Millie said and grabbed the wrench out of Dev’s hand. “This is taking way longer than it needs to.”
She wasn’t wrong. Maybe if he got to work, they could get home before the girls did. Dev jumped to it. His heart was full, his life becoming everything he’d ever dared to dream, and so much more. Who knew turning normal could feel so damned good.
