Since I wasn’t feeling very acrobatic, I started to walk around when I felt his hands close around my waist. Without warning, he lifted me off the ground, ignoring my surprised yelp as he hauled me over the trunk of the blue sedan.

“Owen!” I had to admit my reaction was a bit dramatic, and I was sure anyone watching got a good kick out of seeing me flail in the air like a fish out of water.

“Chill out.” He huffed his irritation as he tucked me against his hard body. My arms flew around his neck as I held on to him for dear life, even though the ground was only a few inches away. “I got you, Dream.”

Of course, having me meant rewarding himself with two handfuls of my ass while he slowly slid me down his body until I was back on my feet again.

“Why did you bring me here?” I all but stomped my foot. Maybe if I acted bratty enough, he’d grow tired of me and take me home. It just wasn’t possible for me to think clearly around him so soon after he ate my pussy like a demon.

I felt like I’d sold my soul to the devil.

“Killing two birds with one stone,” he absently replied as he let me go and walked two rows over to check out this white Mercedes that still looked pretty new. “I had some business to conduct and wanted to spend time with you. Is that a problem?”

I wanted to say hell yes, but he made it clear he wasn’t interested in my opinion when he turned away while reaching into his pocket and pulling out a pair of black disposable gloves. He slipped them on before rounding the car to the driver’s side, and through the passenger window, I watched him turn the key tied to the steering wheel and listen as the car purred to life.

Now, I was no expert, but it sounded like the car was running fine. I couldn’t understand why it was being auctioned until I followed Rowdy to the driver’s side and saw the huge dent that had almost completely caved in the back door.

Rowdy paid me no mind as he sat with one foot planted on the ground and the other on the gas, revving the engine a few times as he fiddled with the A/C controls. He then drove the car forward a couple of feet and then reversed it to make sure the brakes were good.

I just stood there twiddling my thumbs and feeling like a pretty ornament until I grew tired of that. “Let me help.”

Not a question.

A demand.

If he was going to force me to be here, I might as well be useful and distract myself from what happened in the stockroom. The dampness in my panties wouldn’t let me forget anytime soon, though. He hadn’t even penetrated me, and my pussy felt sore. I’d come that hard.

Rowdy’s head whipped my way, and I could see him trying to figure me out before he gave up and wordlessly dug into his pocket for a small orange and blue device I’d seen the technicians and mechanics use around the shop.

“Know how to use this?” He wore a smirk I wanted to kiss off.

No! God! Slap off. I wanted to slap his face. Pull your pussy lips together, Atlas Beck. “Obviously not.”

Rowdy bent and plugged the device into some white port under the steering well before popping the hood and rising from the car. I didn’t have time to back away before he was standing close enough for me to smell my lingering pussy juices on his breath.

“Here,” he said, handing me the device. “There’s no check engine light, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been cleared to cover up any problems with the car. This scanner will read the engine and report any pending codes, stored codes, or incomplete monitors.”

I frowned down at the cheap plastic device in my hand. “But clearing the light doesn’t make the problem go away, so how can they cover it up?”

“Because you’d have to drive the car enough miles for the monitor to reset. If the car is still operable, the new owner won’t know they’ve been fucked until it’s too late.”

“Oh.”

“Should only take a few seconds to run through the cycle,” he mumbled as he gently moved me aside and swaggered to the front of the car, where he opened the hood and disappeared from view. I puffed out a breath—my relief at the much-needed distance between us billowing in the cold air—and hit read.

I could hear Rowdy tinkering under the hood as I watched the asterisk dance across the tiny screen. A few seconds later, two words and an arrow appeared.

“It says there’s a code!” I shouted in case he couldn’t hear me over the running engine.
