“Not entirely.” I search his face for dishonesty as aggressively as he did mine when he murmurs, “But I’d be a liar if I said the thought hadn’t crossed my mind. One taste of your lips wasn’t enough, and I’m more than ready for a second helping.”
“But?” I query when I hear one hanging in the air.
Walking backward has both advantages and disadvantages. A disadvantage is that you’re a little bit disorientated so you can unknowingly be backed into a corner, but the advantage is the exact same thing.
Scrap that.
I’m crowded against the brickwork in an isolated alleyway, and a handsome man with a panty-wetting face is honing in on me.
There are no disadvantages here.
None whatsoever.
“No buts…” Jack murmurs as he weaves his fingers through my hair that doesn’t smell anywhere near as dreadful as it should. “Just a ton of apologies—”
I cut him off with my tongue this time around. It is bold of me, but most of today has been an out-of-body experience for me, so I run with it.
Our kiss is gentle but assertive at the same time. It has the perfect amount of tongue, and since I have to tilt my head to align our lips, my moans roll up my throat without hindrance. They sound desperate but also hot. Like one kiss will never be enough.
After banding his arms around my back, Jack tugs me in closer. This level of spark shouldn’t be the case with strangers. It’s intense, breathless, and desperate, and no matter how hard I fight not to get caught up in the hype of a life-altering kiss, I can’t help but be swept away by it.
Goosebumps prickle my skin as the fire low in my belly grows wild. My legs shake, and my mind races as I struggle to settle the intense pulse between my thighs. I never knew kissing could be so all-consuming and mind-blurring, but this kiss goes above and beyond. It will stay with me forever.
By the time Jack pulls back to catch his breath, I’m desperate. “Jack…”
“Shh. You need to be quiet. We can’t have anyone see us.” His voice is as hoarse as mine, the need in his eyes just as rampant.
After leaning into me deeper, he then steals more than the air from my lungs when he wraps my legs around his waist. My sanity goes right along with it.
Over the next several minutes, we make out like horny teens with no repercussions for our actions.
Our make-out session only ends when I need more than the rock behind his zipper to get me off. It takes all my willpower to pull away from Jack’s sinful mouth. His lips are scrumptious—the yummiest I’ve ever tasted—but if we don’t take this somewhere private, his wish for our romp to remain a secret will falter. I’m not loud, but I’ve never been with someone who kisses as good as Jack, so who knows what is to come?
“We need to take this somewhere else. Somewhere clean.” I don’t know if his tugs on my hair are responsible for my last two words or the stench down the alleyway, but whatever it is, it is honest. “My foot was lodged in poo only hours ago, so I’m not kneeling on filth tonight.”
“Kneeling?” Jack murmurs against my neck before he peppers it with kisses.
“Yeah… kneeling.” I inch back, then drop my eyes to his face since his lips have fallen to my collarbone. “When I…” I make the most unladylike gesture with my tongue and the inside of my cheek, then die of embarrassment two seconds later. “I’m sorry. I suck at flirting.”
“No, you don’t,” Jack denies, his voice a mix of hilarity and horniness. “But I’m sure you suck a lot when giving head.”
I sock him in the stomach like the need in his voice doesn’t have me on the cusp of climax before muttering, “You’ll never know if we stay here.” My teeth rake my bottom lip before I confess, “I’m not usually a one-night-stand type of girl… but I could be for you.”
“No,” he denies again before shaking his head. “This isn’t a one-night thing. I’ll need more than a night.”
His reply excites me more than I care to admit, but I play it cool. “How do you know that? We’ve barely skidded past first base.”
He rocks his hips forward, stealing the nerves from my head and clustering them much lower. “This tells me everything I need to know.”
I burrow my head into his neck when his second grind has me grunting like a wild animal. I’m so close to detonation I’m not even sure I need more than his zipper anymore. It could get the job done. Hell, even just the scent of Jack’s aftershave lingering in the wake of his touch could push me over the edge of hysteria.
